Tring Out Random Restaurants in Galle Fort | VOC Resturant

This is the second part of our Saturday journey.

For lunch, we had no specific restaurant idea in our minds. We tried to google but were still confused about which one to select. So we decided to go to Galle Fort and try a random restaurant.

We walk to the Fort from Dharmapala park. Actually, we rarely visit the fort, even though many of the people who live here know the fort well. We passed several restaurants we saw at first until we used to the environment. There were plenty of foreigners spread between restaurants, so we checked for a less crowded place. Each restaurant had displayed its menus outside so we could pick a restaurant with our food preferences.

Finally, we stopped by a restaurant called VOC. Actually, the only reason we stopped by was that it was less crowded. There was no extreme interior design, but whatever it had made a pleasant atmosphere.

Their prices are quite reasonable and early I thought the food at Fort is extremely expensive. But compared to restaurants we recently visited, prices seem normal. We ordered our usual meals :) With two drinks.

Portions are comparatively very small, but delicious. Mojitos are better to be sweeter, but they were not. But still delicious.

Actually, they had served the rice plate with a good presentation, but the quality is very small for a local. Any way the creamy pasta was very good and it was served with a garlic topping.

Harith ordered a passion mojito and I order a lime-mint something. We had to swap them as we both didn't like what we ordered.

In the future, we try to visit more restaurants in Fort Randomly.
