Again, it's the weekend after a week overloaded with work. Today, I'm going to share something related to someone else.
It was about 10 pm, and I had just gotten to sleep. I heard a slight sound of the doorbell, just the 'Ding' part of it. I kept sleeping until I heard "ayye" in a lower voice. Harith was also sleeping, and I guess he hadn't heard anything at all.
When it came to the third or fourth call, we snapped back to reality, turned on all the lights, and Harith went to the door. "Ayyo damma nidagnnwada?" His brother was at the door asking.
He had a plate of something in his hand to serve us. "We did barbeque," he said. He had a well-garnished plate of barbequed chicken.
Harith's brother and one of his friends had done the barbeque. He loved sharing his story with us.
The two of them got an idea to have a barbeque dinner, so they chose Harith's parents' house as the location. As it was already a rainy day, they set up the barbeque plate under the hut near the house. They prepared their own grill for the task.
They had chicken and sausage for the job. Actually, I haven't done barbeque before, so this was kind of new to me. They marinated the chicken and then grilled it using the plate they had prepared. Actually, I must express my gratitude to Harith's brother for sharing this delicious barbeque chicken with us.
It is nicely plated and looks so delicious. It is good to have family members near your house coz it is easier to share food. I missed that kind of food sharing in the province. Here in the city, we don't usually share food because our neighbors are like strangers.
So, you are living with unknown neighbors?
just a hi, hellos when you meet them.
Barbeque chicken in India i have tasted in many different spices . The best one was with mustard chilli powder. Nice presentation with green leaves .is that basil ?
No.. it's not basil. It's a different kind of green leaves which we eat sometimes.
