Last Saturday I really got a reasonable reason to go out. As Harith's sister's and mother's birthday is upcoming I thought to join him to purchase some suitable gifts.
For lunch, we decided to try out a different restaurant today. Actually, Harith already had some excellent experience with the food of this restaurant but he also hasn't had any dine-in experience there.
So we chose Ozone Restaurant. The restaurant is located so close to the main road and you can easily find the location here.
You'll have to use roadside parking as there are fewer parking spaces available around. Luckily we were able to park close to the restaurant.
For dine-in, we were invited to go upstairs. The staircase was made of wood and steel and the coolest thing is the whole staircase had sheltered by a vine.
A huge thunbergia vine had covered the restaurant as you see.
The vibe along the staircase was very interesting and we both loved this feeling. The dining hall was on the top floor. Actually, they had converted a plain hall into a fully functional restaurant with a kitchen, dining area, reception, and even a washroom complex. We must appreciate their effort of creating a good vibe at this place.
There were plenty of people dining in at the place but still, there was enough space for more. I think about 20-30 people can dine in here without issue. We picked window seats as we wanted to enjoy the green surrounding. Actually, their interior was pretty good. Eventhough there was nothing very extra, they have to build a natural vibe inside the hall. Colors, furniture, and especially the roof design have given an elegant look to this place
The menu had several rice, burger, submarine, and also salad, side dish options and as we always prefer rice, we ordered Mongolian rice. They didn't take so long to serve the dish and within 10-15 min it was ready. They had rice items from 1300-1500 and also burger and submarine prices were the same. The portion for the given price was enough for two people. And you can take the extra food home if you want.
Actually, the food was delicious, and nothing wrong with the food. The Mongolian rice cost 1400 LKR and is really worth the price as we have visited so many restaurants which sell for a similar price per portion but without good taste.
Actually, I loved this restaurant and its atmosphere a lot and we took a couple of selfies and video clips there. I can give 5/5 to this beautiful restaurant.
