FOOD SHORTAGES IMMINENT!!

in food •  3 years ago  (edited)

I know I've harped on about this for quite some time and the majority of people think preppers are crazy but now it's official. Yes the conspiracy nuts were right again.

"During a press conference in Brussels, Belgium amid meetings with NATO members, President Joe Biden warned of food shortages as a result of Putin invading Ukraine. He seemed to have misspoken when he said, “We talked about how we can increase and disseminate more rapidly food shortages.”"

The Ice Age Farmer reported 4th march-
"The food crisis is escalating: more countries are halting exports, but even as the EU converges a food crisis meeting, they refuse to relax restrictions on farmers. Similarly, the US is not waiving biofuel mandates even as grain prices explode. Christian explains that this crisis is needed to advance the agenda, and reiterates the priorities for your victory garden to insulate your family and community from this worldwide food crisis. Start growing today."

One thing he doesn't mention ironically is meat and dairy. I gave up on him a few years ago because he seemed to blame us 'vegans' for all the woes in US agriculture. It always irks me when these people blame us for NOT eating their precious animal products when surely that just leaves more for them?

Anyway now he is suddenly admitting we were right in suggesting we all grow BEANS for protein. Yes the very things he's been saying for years are 'poison'. Maybe he's realised the grain shortages are gonna hit the meat and dairy industry FIRST and those animals will starve. Not much meat on a starved animal is there?

Been saying for decades that the animal feed would feed 10 times as many people for the same amount of protein or calories per 'meal'. Sadly tho that feed is all GMO'd now so unfit for human consumption thanx to big ag and their policies.

This food crisis is totally manufactured! It is NOT Putins fault it is your own governments faults with their carbon footprint bollocks. Here in Ireland where technically we could easily feed everyone they import 95% of fruit and veg while exporting mostly meat and dairy.

In 2018:-

Ireland produced over 10% of Global Infant Formula
Ireland was the largest net exporter of Beef in the Northern Hemisphere
Irish agri-food exports were valued at €13.6 billion, a 64% increase since 2010
It was the 9th successive year of growth in agri-food exports by volume
Irish agri-food was exported to 180 countries
Dairy exports exceeded €4bn for the second year
Butter exports exceeded €1 billion for the first time
Cheese exports were worth €800m
Meat and Livestock exports were €3.97 billion, an increase of 1%
Irish beef production stood at 633,000 tonnes, up 3%
(source; https://www.sfsi.ie/agriculture-food-ireland/)

All very good for the GDP but how are we gonna import fruit and veg when countries are shutting down exports to 'brace for food shortages'? Also note most of the 'beef' is 'grass-fed' here but the grass-fed guru's forget to mention they are also fed grains (GMO) to fatten before slaughter. I know because I'm surrounded by those farmers.

This is serious and if you are not prepping or growing food you may starve.
It is time to stop sucking on the tit of nanny state and start looking after yourself.

I hate to mention this but someone has to - with all the jabbed possibly dying out in the next 3-5 years there will be less mouths to feed so I wonder if anyone is taking those stats into account? Harsh I know but it needs to be considered.

ALSO when the powers that be tell you to NOT prep while THEY are doing exactly that you should know this shit is gonna get real.
"When the individuals who already have massive amounts of money are preparing for a time when money is no longer valuable and self-sustainable farmland is the most precious resource, then it is time to start paying attention."

we'll be on nettle soup and turnips soon.

Again, the real prison will not be the food shortages themselves, but what you have to DO to get some.

I see here their pathetic attempts at synthetic shortages and scare tactics - eg you cannot buy more than 5 litres of oil... when there are 1000 litres on the shelves!! More programming for the barely conscious simians.

Yeh and looking at inflation, it might not be the shortage thats the problem it's the can't afford to buy it that'll be the problem.

And if a lot of farmers and associated works die off from vax in the next little while this will make the food shortage even worse.

not if they start hiring the healthy ones left. Plus as I said, less mouths to feed too.

Unfortunately very true, I've been preparing since 2018 so am lucky that I have a large garden and a greenhouse that's growing food. About a year of larder items, a local network of growers - and a wild harvesting hobby. I'd highly recommend collecting nettles and dandelions - I dry them, freeze them, and also turn then into various tinctures and medicines. Of course, if this really kicks off we also need to band together and protect what we have.

Oh you have done well. I'm a little behind, just getting a greenhouse up this week hopefully. Love my nettles and dandelions too. Tried nettle tea last summer and loved it, wanna try more nettle recipes this year. I've also been building a herb garden for superfoods, flavourings and medicinal use. Funnily enough finding it harder to get seeds for herbs than food crops.

Although the place where I live has lands suitable for agriculture, there is not enough food production.
Both the wrong agricultural policy of the rulers and the greed and selfish approaches of the breeders are effective in this.
He chooses to leave his field empty instead of sowing, and he shows that he cannot win the numbers he aims for as the reason, as if he will gain more when he is empty.

Yes and in Ireland they pay farmers to grow nothing too. It's nuts.

Yes my structure isn't random
I am among the rioters eaters of flesh
There is no return to your faulty destruction
My blood is hot, telling i

The private town stopped allowing hunters to hunt the region under it's control , some cows , chickens and goats might be added later , for now we turn over the swamp , move the dirt to dry grounds , and make fields for future crops .
Nothing but grass will grow on it the first year , mixing it with sand and charcoal might give some potato's this year . It's still freezing at night , we can only start growing in May , and have only three months for that .

I put my chances on eggs , real butter , fish and some meat , added with some veggies . ;-)

Are you comparing hunting (to eat) to big ag animal husbandry? It's a known fact taking out the natural carnivores from an eco-system causes problems but you can hardly ignore the problems caused to the eco-system from big ag. It's the polar opposite.

Anything set up big , producing a lot of one product , plant or animal based , will always disrupt the natural eco-system , .. have a avocado , for example .
But by not allowing to hunt in a big part of a mountain forest , wild life stand will grow . And indeed because most natural carnivores are wiped out by humans , it will take not long before the herbivores grow to large in numbers .

I do not compare anything , just finding ways to survive past the reset . ;-)
