The First Barbeque Night of the Season

From today starts our long weekend of 4 days. Ideally I would like to travel out somewhere during such extended weekends but this weekend I have some friends coming over from Mumbai and they will be staying with us so I have to be in town and be their host. We had to do something to mark the beginning of the long weekend and hence we planned to do a barbeque night last evening. The weather is perfect to be outdoors and enjoy such evenings.
I checked with some of my friends and they were also willing to do it, so there was no looking back. Such things you enjoy doing it in a group rather then just by yourself.

In the city we have a park which is designed only for barbeques. There are separate spots available with barbeque pits. The only challenge is that on holidays the place gets full so we need to go very early and reserve the place. We could not go early so we requested the care taker of the park to reserve the place for us. He charged us for that, but it was ok, we could comfortably get the place.

The place is on a hill and we get the complete city view from this place. It looks nice with all the lights glittering down. It's close to the Airport so we get to see the landings and take offs also. All of this adds up to the vibe.

For Barbeque we carried some marinated chicken, sausages, patty and corn cobs. Hubby is expert in this activity, he always volunteers to do it. This time he was a little slow, he seemed to be tired. He did the first round and then he handed it over to other person who then did it till the end. I had marinated all the items and everyone loved it so I was very happy.

We were in a big group so it was lot of fun. We carry our chairs mats and everything to be as comfortable as possible.

That's just the beginning of the long weekend and there is loads coming up which I am looking forward to.
