South Indian Thali at the famous Gurudatta Bhojanalay

in food •  2 years ago

It's been a long time since I visited this famous restaurant in my city. It is called Gurudatta Bhojanalay.

Bhojanalay means a place where you eat or a restaurant.

It is probably the first restaurant I ever ate at. I was probably 6-7 years old and our father took me and my brother.

They serve South Indian food and you can as much as you wish to eat.

The restaurant is always busy and that is one of the reasons why I couldn't take more pics.

They serve you food in steel plates. And then they start serving the food. They start with Chapati and then go on to add different gravies and chutneys and sabji etc.

And then they serve rice. And the best thing of this is that you can eat as much rice as you want and get as many servings of gravies and chutneys and sabji s but they only serve two Chapaties and you can pay more for more.
