Restaurant Haleem 🍵 with Nun Roti was delicious. Today I going to check outside Food. It's been Long time after came outside from home. Don't want to miss the chance to have some local food. It was my daily routing to have some food from outside but my bad hardly getting that chance now a day!
Restaurant Haleem 🍵 (Bangladeshi style)
The recipe has two parts . First part involves cooking of meat and grains separately and the last part is mixing of these two .
Ingredients :
1 kg meat ( Beef/ mutton)
1/2 cup whole wheat ( 1/4 th cup is whole and 1/4 th cup is broken)
1/4 th cup urad/ mashkolai daal ( without skin)
1/4 th cup moog daal / yellow lentil
1/4 th cup moosur daal/ red lentil
1/4 th cup split Bengal gram/ yellow split pea/ chola/ chana daal)
Toss whole spices in a dry skillet, stirring and tossing frequently over medium heat, until they begin to smell toasty and fragrant .
- Remove from heat and blend, add black salt (beet lobon) combine all ingredients together and mix well. Store in air tight container and stir before using.
Restaurant Nun Roti
For the meat :
3/4 th cup onion paste
1 and half tbl spoon ginger paste
2 tea spoon garlic paste
1 tea spoon turmeric
2 tea spoon red chili powder
1/2 tea spoon coriander powder
1 cinnamon stick ( 2″ long)
4/5 green cardamom
2 Bay leaves
9/10 cloves
2 tea spoon garam masala powder
Oil
Salt to taste
Take a pot and add onion , ginger , garlic, red chili turmeric and saute for 10 min over high heat. Add mutton and saute for another 10 min. Add Haleem mix and salt to taste. Pour hot water 3-4 cups and cook for 20 min over medium heat (cover with a lid and don't forget to stir occasionally.) Add Daal mix, and 2 cups of water . Add sliced cucumber , green chili and cook for 15 min. Add Haleem mix and roasted cumin powder . Remove from heat.
