Today I share with you what was a delicious and healthy option that accompanied my lunch on a very special day. The truth is that I was very happy because on Tuesday among my vegetable shopping I was able to buy Berro. A plant that I used to eat during my childhood and later when I was older. Watercress brings me a lot of nice memories with my family. My father was a lover of this plant and many other vegetables such as radish. Nowadays you don't see it very often. In some stores I have seen packaged and selected with a high price. In this opportunity in the sale of vegetables and vegetables that I frequently visit, I found the watercress cheap and fresh. That is why I bought a certain amount without thinking twice.

On the day of my purchase I prepared the watercress in two ways. The first one was a soup or cream version combining it with a vegetable, yam. I already shared this recipe. The second preparation was a fresh salad with very nutritious ingredients that brought consistency, flavor and freshness to my preparation. It was celery and carrots. I enjoyed while preparing my salad and lunch. I hope you have the opportunity to prepare and consume watercress in different ways. It is good to note that this has been ranked as the healthiest food in the world

This salad recipe was enough for two servings. Here is my step by step.

INGREDIENTS
250 grams of watercress
1 small carrot
200 grams of Celery
Olive oil
White vinegar
Salt to taste.

PREPARATION
The preparation of my watercress salad began by separating the roots and thicker stems from the leaves. Then I proceeded to wash very well to remove impurities. After cleaning well, I soaked it in water with vinegar for 5 minutes. In the same way I washed the celery and added it to the vinegar water together with the watercress.

On the other hand, I washed, peeled and grated the carrot. I put it on a plate and set aside. I took the cabbage celery. I cut it into small pieces and placed it next to the carrot. Finally, I strained the watercress, cut it into small pieces and added it to the rest of the ingredients. I mixed with a spoon and prepared my dressing. This time I only added salt, vinegar and olive oil.

My salad was ready, I added it to my plate and decorated it with watercress sprigs and olive oil. I loved its flavor and crunchy texture. The watercress has its characteristic flavor that you will like. I hope you can prepare it and eat it often.
