With my dad as the role of head chef, me as sous chef, and mum as the tidy upper, we made a delicious BBQ feast with plenty of leftovers. We made enough to feed my family x 3.
(we also had grilled aubergines )
We got 3 different cuts of meat; pork slabs(i wasn't really sure what it was), brisket, and pork collar. Dad did all the hot work, making the bbq and cooking the meat. While I prepped the meat, made the salad, seasoned the bell peppers, cooked the potatoes, and cut the veggies.
The feeling of having a BBQ feels very different from cooking on a gas stove. It gives me a sense of how people cooked before the invention of stoves. Dad did keep saying that the stove would be much faster but the BBQ made my mother happy, happy wife, happy life...sometimes.
