Floriculture is one of my hobbies. I love growing flowers from seeds or bulbs and almost never buy mature plants. I love watching new life emerge. Like a tiny seed, immersed in the soil, releases a thin root, how a timid stem appears, how it grows and gains strength. And at one fine moment, my garden literally explodes with bright colors and is filled with the aroma of wonderful flowers.
Flowers are one of the most amazing and perfect creations of nature. Their diversity is amazing. A rare person can imagine all the abundance of species. Even now, when we seem to have studied our amazing planet far and wide, there are still previously unknown species.
Flowers accompany all the events of our life. They are relevant in both joy and sorrow. They delight and comfort. They have great power of symbolism, when one flower can express feelings and emotions.
They have nurtured artists for centuries. Paintings, jewelry, even tattoos. Floral theme is always in trend.
There is only one major inconvenience. With the onset of spring, flower seedlings occupy all the window sills in my house! 😁
