I kind of went slow setting up a company recently. I was really concerned about getting the choice of jurisdiction right. In the end, I went with a nice, standard Delaware C corporation.
The company is called 500 chains, inc.. We develop open hardware and software that favors auditability over "free as in beer".
I used stripe atlas to set it up. So far, the experience has been quite good. We have access to the relatively incredible stripe API, and we'll be able to accept credit card payments in about 2 weeks.
So you ask, why is it called 500 chains?
We believe that there will be a Cambrian explosion in application specific blockchains, and that because of our experience we are well positioned to design and deploy applications specific blockchains in any of the leading frameworks.
In the pipeline, we are 1% of the way there:
- blurt - uses SocialGraph
- Zapata - uses SocialGraph
- SocialGraph - Cosmos ChainDAO
- Bling - Cosmos ChainDAO
classified
However, we have only shipped 0.2% of our goal.
Hold on to your hats folks this will be a wild ride.
Very cool. Looking forward to Zapata.
