1.5 lbs is best for eating, almost better than pickerel / walleye.
Large and Smallmouth Bass fishing is permitted from January 1st to March 15th and the third Saturday in May to November 30th.
As soon as the ice is thick enough (usually January) you can go Ice fishing for Pickerel and Northern Pike.
Nothing like a fresh fish Shore lunch in a cast iron skillet over a fire … Just make sure you’re on the shore and not the middle of the lake.
