Hi, everyone!
It's kind of exciting to be one of the first ones to post on a fresh blockchain. I like the idea of not importing the data from Steem and starting fresh.
I joined Steem in February of 2018, but only started being active during the summer of 2019. I've been enjoying meeting and being social with all sorts of people ever since.
When the Hive fork happened, I moved over there since most of the people I follow moved there as well.
After the Hive fork, I got laid off from my work for ten weeks because of the pandemic, so I took the opportunity to teach myself some Python programming. I've played around with the Beem library and made a few programs that interact with the Hive blockchain. I made one that automatically claims account creation tokens with resource credits. I made the @caturday.curator, which is a bot that finds cat related content and upvotes it based on an algorithm that evaluates the post and gives it a score. I also made a bot for the account called @ihealyou, which is a bot that heals downvotes from the notorious downvoter who was downvoting SBI members. We won't need that one on this chain.
Anyway, my point in saying all that is that I intend to use my newly acquired skills and knowledge for the benefit of the Blurt blockchain.
In other news, I'm also running a witness node on the Blurt chain. This morning, just after they had started the blockchain, the founders were scrambling to find enough witnesses to fill the top slots, so I decided to start a witness server to help out. I'm running it on a VPS in Canada.
I don't know what the future holds for Blurt and I won't speculate, but I'm hopeful and optimistic.
All around, it's been an exciting day.
I wish you all well.
See you around!
This place still sucks like a bucket of ticks.
Merry BLURT Day.
Excited for Blurt
