Sticker From Pollination Festival From 2009

in festival •  3 years ago

There was a groovy festival around Likely BC around 2009. There was many musicians and workshops. It was such a great time!! I remember I stayed up to 3 in the morning listening to the DJ's!! I visited there again in 2014 just after an awful mining disaster that polluted pristine waters on a prominent salmon run.

It was a spring festival celebrating the upcoming warm weather. The idea of it is to cross pollinate ideas and good cheer into the spring and summer year! One of my favourite memories was a sweat house by a cold lake. You would go in there, get really hot and cool off in the water. We would all go in nude! I liked that naturalist concept just fine. It was a good happy hippy day!

Recently we got a new refrigerator and I was unable to remove the sticker so I took a photo and video clip to keep these memories! There were a few workshops I did not join. I remember one called loveolution where people could get comfortable with cuddling. I think that is great for people to feel some closeness and connection. It kind of inspires me to try to get into something like that again. It's been so long. Just glad I can recall it here and now.

Here is a video clip of the sticker

Music in video clip by Synthesis Underground. This festival helped inspire me to make electronic music! There were a few real good musicians and still have the cd's. Perhaps I will post some links to their music after I research and see if they can be found online
