The Notting Hill Carnival in London

Notting Hill Carnival is a yearly carnival that takes place in London in the month of August, it is mostly towards the end of the month. This is a street festival where several artist will perform and there will be dance, music, food and loads of street acts. This festival is all about celebrating the Caribbean culture, it's heritage and arts. But honestly when I saw it, I felt that it was in some parts a little gross also for public display. Probably being an Indian all this is not a part of our culture and hence it is difficult for us to accept. Yes, but hubby was seemed to be more then happy and he went around posing with the artists. I will not say that all of it was not nice. There were some acts and performers who displayed a wonderful show and then there were a few who were not very appealing to me. Again it's my personal choice.

It is one of the largest street festival not only in London but in all of Europe, and tourist specially come here to see this festival.

Look at my hubby, how excited he is posing with the performers and making me click pictures...hehe. I told him do not jump so much, at the end of the day you have to come home only......hahaha.

There were some beautiful performances but the roads were so crowded and there were barricades at many places so I had to take pictures from far only

It was a rainy day so again that was also one issue. London anyways is so unpredictable with it's weather.

There was good police arrangement also

I am just wondering how much of nuisance it would be for people staying in this area during this festival time. Through out the day there is loud music and chaos on the road.

Ideally the event is free, but there are some after party events which do have tickets. For me this was enough.
