Last night we finished with our rituals of the Ganesh Chathurthi festival and completed the immersion ceremony of Lord Ganesha.
Ganesh Chathurthi is basically a 10 days festival, during this time a lot of people install Ganesha idol at their home ranging from 2 to 10 days time period and at the end of this time period, the idol is immersed in water body. In this time Prayer ceremonies and Aartis are done. Family and friends vusit to pay respect and seek blessings. These are some very divine days with a lot of positive energy in the air.
I had got Lord Ganesha home for 2 days time period which was 31st Aug and 1st Sept and last night we completed the immersion ceremony and with a heavy heart let him go. It feels very empty after he is gone. There is so much good vibe with all the celebrations and prayer ceremonies held that my place was feeling full of positivity. For the last few days I have been completely occupied in the arrangements and it is all done now.
My family has been doing this ritual for the past 15 years and we feel it like a blessing. Though in my own home it has been 7 years that we have been doing. The last 2 years I could not do it due to Covid and my hubby's ill health conditions. But this year I has decided that no matter what, I will do the festival at my home and with Lord Ganesha's grace everything was completed perfectly.
Some pictures from our celebrations
Adter the Pooja ceremony now its time for the inmersion.
Our idol is biodegradable so within 10 mins of the immersion our idol was completely dissolved.
Soaking into the energies that Lord Ganesha has brought in our home, now we wait for next year to welcome him back into our home.
