Btw, yesterday's Dencun Upgrade (EIP#4844) for Mainnet has substantially brought down gas fee for all L-2s like Optimism, Base, etc. and txn there are already almost like free. (Some L-2s like Linea may take a couple of weeks to implement it).
With this, I hope some of the load from Ethereum mainnet will be relieved as blobs have got dedicated block space. Hence there must be some reduction in gas fee there too.
