So, I decided to stop by McDonald's for some quick lunch today. Going through the drive-through, I saw something new on their menu. It was Spicy McNuggets! I don't know if there's any history behind this particular menu option, but I decided to dive in.
In fact, I went too far. I bought 30 nuggets because I could. It was definitely a fulfilling lunch, but I won't do that too often. It would be way too pricey for me.
On the surface, they look like tanner versions of the standard McNuggets. However, the mild spicy taste adds to the flavor. Even the meat (or whatever it is) is more tender than your usual nuggets. They cost about $5 for 10 nuggets. So, it's about the same price as well.
Unfortunately, you cannot swap the normal ones for the spicy kind in meals and bundles. I've asked them if it were possible to swap the 20 McNuggets for the spicy ones in the $10-bundle. The answer was no. For economical reasons, it may not be in your best interest to order the spicy nuggets alone.
(For those of you who are curious, the $10-bundle has 2 medium fries, 2 cheeseburgers, and 20 nuggets.)
Anyways, I'm a fan of spicy chicken nuggets. Is it better than the Wendy's kind? Well, they are different. They are both good. So, it's hard for me to prefer one over the other. It's no healthy eating, but it is what it is.
