Family Evening and the Festive Mood

During the week we decided to visit the Crowne Plaza Hotel as there were some Christmas celebration event going on there. This is the best time of the year in the city as something or the other keeps happening and the city is vibrantly buzzing. I like to visit these places as there are some beautiful Christmas set ups done in these places.
This year I have yet not visited the place where the biggest Christmas Tree of the city is set up. It's done in one of the Resorts AlBustan Palace in the city. Days have been busy with a lot of work and this place is far from my home so have not had the chance to visit. Probably in the next week will do so.
Anyways I visited the Crowne Plaza Hotel with my mom and hubby to see their decor and set up for Christmas. There was not much of decor done in the hotel but the Tree was there which was very attractive.

The other attraction of this Hotel is the center Chandelier piece, which makes the place look grand.

At one corner of the Hotel there was this set up of sales of flowers and chocolates. Flowers in Oman are very expensive, because majority get imported so it has it's own big price.

We had a nice cozy evening at the place. Mom liked it, she does not step out much of the house so sometimes I have to force her to step out and come along with us. She enjoyed the outing. After spending some time here we left the place and then went for dinner to one of the local restaurants near to home and enjoyed some nice Turkish food. Ahha I missed clicking those pictures, but next time I visit a Turkish Restaurant I will share my experience. The good thing about living in Muscat city is that I get to experience variety of different cultures here. This place is home to many expats who come from all different parts of world and we get to experience their food and other cultures in this place.
