My grandma would have been 100 years old today, Feb 17th 2024. She passed away 8 years ago. I celebrated today by going to A&W restaurant with my family, including my daughter Lillian who turned 2 years old today. She's named after her great grandma.

Thanks buddy, it was fulfilling to be with my wife and our two wonderful children, as well as my wife's parents and sister. I'm not close with her family but they're all we've got in this little town. My parents (in NZ for the season) sent their regards by email and post. They and I don't have the best relationship in recent years. Grama (mom's mom) would be sad to see the family apart, but she'd be happy to know about my children with Katie. Before she died, she asked me "do you think there's any chance you and Katie will have babies?" to which I replied it isn't likely because Katie had cancer and radiation to that area as a child. But lo and behold, 3 years after she passed away, which was 10 years after Katie and I first got together, she conceived.
Grandmas are definitely awesome!
How great is that conceiving 2 awesome kids after all that they are God's gifts to you both Grandma must have put the good word in on your behalf.
