A Memorable Family Bonding at Santa Crus Rock Resort: A Feast of Native Delights

This weekend, my family and I had the pleasure of spending quality time together at the beautiful Santa Crus Rock Resort, a hidden gem nestled amidst nature's beauty. It's not just the serene surroundings that made our day special, but also the array of native foods we prepared and shared, making the experience even more memorable. While the kids enjoy swimming the adults busy in preparing variety of natives foods.
A Feast of Native Delicacies is one of the highlights of our family bonding it was undoubtedly the food. We brought with us an assortment of traditional delicacies, which added a nostalgic and heartwarming touch to the whole experience.
Puto Balanghoy - This puto balanghoy delicacy was the perfect start to our feast. Soft, chewy, and lightly sweet, it’s a family favorite. The earthy flavor of cassava paired well with the other dishes we had.
Embaw Shell it is freshly harvested from the local shores in our mangrove forest the embaw shells were grilled to perfection. The smoky aroma and slightly chewy texture of the embaw made it a perfect companion for dipping sauces made from vinegar, chili, and soy sauce.

Sinugbang Isda nothing beats fresh fish grilled over an open flame. The aroma of the sinugba, as it cooked over the charcoal, filled the air, enticing everyone. The fish was juicy, flaky, and bursting with flavor, especially when paired with a side of calamansi and soy sauce.
Linungag nga bananas served as a hearty and nutritious side. The subtle sweetness of the bananas balanced out the savory dishes, offering a simple yet satisfying contrast lami kini kaayo ipares sa kinilawa nga isda.
Kinilaw nga Isda a very resh fish marinated in vinegar, ginger, onions, and chili made up this dish. The zesty and tangy flavors of the kinilaw provided a refreshing break from the grilled and boiled items, adding a sharp, delightful taste to the meal.
Native chicken a very delicious and nutritious foods . With matching lamian nga pancit .
And the Biko the sticky rice delicacy, with its rich coconut milk flavor and sweet brown sugar topping, was the perfect dessert to end the meal. Its smooth, sticky texture and deep caramel taste had everyone reaching for second.
Family Fun and Lasting Memories
As we enjoyed our feast, laughter and stories filled the air. The combination of delicious food and the picturesque surroundings made us appreciate not only the beauty of nature but also the importance of spending time with loved ones. The kids enjoyed playing by the rock and swimming even the sea is distance to the baybayon because of lowtide while the adults chatted and shared childhood memories.
The day at Santa Crus Rock Resort was more than just a picnic – it was a celebration of family, tradition, and the simple joys in life.
