Which course have you taken in life? Do you choose the narrow path where you have to put your faith on God and other people? Or do you choose the more expansive route that leaves you with no one to rely on but yourself? Are you traveling with the throng, gaining momentum along the way, or are you traveling in silence and prayer with a small group of reliable friends? While the broad roadway may appear more exciting initially, true contentment can only be reached by taking the narrow path.
Maybe you've traveled with Christ down the road of righteousness for a good while. But it seems like your Redeemer is suddenly leading you in a strange way. To embrace this uncertainty, a far larger and terrifying degree of trust is required. Very few people have reached the place that your Heavenly Father is pressing you to go even among the believers.
Don't allow your cautiousness get in the way of your response as you pay attention to Christ's new guidance. Through Jesus, one can find redemption by passing through a narrow gate and following His narrow road of obedience and belief. People who opt for the wide gate of disbelief will suffer severe harm to their souls and lives. Ensuring that you've stepped through God's eternal gate and taken a profound journey with Him into total self-abandonment is vital.
The door of grace opens onto the road of mercy and forgiveness. Even though pride-related roadblocks might be a source of conflict, they can be avoided by just taking your time and reacting with grace and humility. You will unavoidably meet people along the way; welcome these opportunities and treasure them as important components of your journey. It's critical to move on from disappointment when wonderful people leave. The Lord will direct you to locate new traveling companions for your upcoming assignment.
Remain steadfast in your faith and keep your attention on the guidance of the Lord. Follow Him wherever He leads you, even if it means having more trust than you have in the past. The way that the Lord guides you may not seem obvious at first. At other times, though, His guidance could provide you with a distinct future picture. Whichever way you decide to go, be sure Jesus is at your side the entire time.
