Sand Storm Aftermath
It's not as bad as they had it in Spain, but the sand did come down with the rain yesterday. The sky is clear now and we can't see the sand anymore, even though it's probably still there in minute amounts. London and, I can imagine, most of the UK were blanketed in a thin layer of Sahara sand in an overnight precipitation.
Imagine if we had this for 3-4 months of the year with heavier deposits daily. I think many of our systems would collapse under so much dust. We'd need different filtration system for one. People with allergies would also suffer greatly dude to the sheer amount of dust they'd be breathing in for that long.
This, as well as the lack of rain during the dry season, is why most of West Africa looks dry and dusty during the months of November through March. It's funny I was just explaining this phenomenon to a bunch of people in the comments section of a video yesterday, many of whom live in Europe. Somehow I get the feeling some of them understand the phenomenon a lot better now.
Peace & Love,
Adé
Omg I totally missed this lol
Where were you? Russia? 😅
