FORETHOUGHT: I DO NOT ENDORSE THE USE OF HARMFUL SUBSTANCES. THIS POST IS FOR GAINING SOME INFORMATION ON THE USE OF SUCH A SUBSTANCE MIGHT DO TO THE HUMAN BODY AND MIND. BY NO MEANS IS THIS POST USED TO PERSUADE YOU INTO TRYING HARMFUL DRUGS THAT COULD LEAVE YOU PERMANENTLY DAMAGED OR WORSE.
Intro:
Thankful to be alive today. Every day is an opportunity to seek, reap and share some intrinsic value to the world. Righteousness is at our door steps, knocking to be accepted into our lives. Every day is a privilege. It is a gift.
Learn something new today. Learn to write a new language, write cursive, play a new game, understand a new math equation, etc. So many things one can do. If you are not capable of finding one, then go do some chores, cut the grass, broom, mop, go exercising, ride a bike, go for a walk with the pets or, mope all day long in your bed (your choice).
Well as you are trying to figure it out, today I bring 2 main questions (listed further below), a brief history into cocaine and sugar, its scientific effects (in short) on the human body and the good and negative impacts.
The reason I bring these two up is mainly because they are both such a huge part of our culture. We may try to ignore it, but one time or another you see the effects it has in your own streets and with our family and friends. But there is something that fascinates me.
We give cocaine such a bad rep yet so many people purchase it like children want to buy that next sugar fix. So is Cocaine just as addicting as sugar? Which one is far worse, cocaine or sugar?
Some I have witnessed many a time is people using it to work. Myself included.
A past me that will never repeat.
Yes, I have used it, and on more than one occasion. And based on experience, quitting it was easier than exiting the use abusively of sugar, by far. But it was just about as addicting.
Found this substance interesting as a science of its effect on the human's personality. As an ex user, my aim is to gain more understanding of what entered into my body and talk about my experiences so that it may provide some help to those that really want to quit.
Let us jump into this topic.
I will mention a brief summary over its history since this is not a history post but rather to help people realize something about their decisions when picking up a habit without any knowledge to what it is. We all have the right to be informed properly before making decisions. Albeit, that is not always true and sometimes, certain situations force us into making decisions we do not like later and end up regretting. That is ok, so long as the end justifies the means. Let's make lemonades, shall we?
Question 1: Would you give your child cocaine? Why?
That is a vintage ad from the mid 1800 when cocaine was “legal” in the USA. Click image for more.
Now I can already hear the rants. Obviously not right? Why would any rational thinking person give cocaine to a child?
How many out there are actually rational thinking? How many are so gullible to believe anything that gets dished out to them? When will We ever get to a point, as a planet, to research for the truth or learn to read some simple data to make an informed decision?
In today's world, we have information ready to be displayed quickly. At our hands we now have the technology, unlike the 1800s, to be properly informed. Ignorance is now a choice.
No longer do we have to trust only on what our doctors tells us, but we can learn essentially the same things now.
What is Cocaine?
Cocaine, as it is commonly known, is that special white/beige colored powder that people sniff up their nostrils. I am going to take the best bet and say that you already know plenty about this. It is the type of stuff that makes you feel as you are super concentrated (and probably delusional into thinking you have the best idea ever). Maybe even make you start to thin as if you know what is the best way to start organizing your life. It gives you a false sense of impression that you are in control. You feel energized and your heart is pumping faster.
Cocaine is a dangerous, powerful substance. It will alter your personality permanently. Whether that is positive or a negative, we will go over in a few. It's continues consumption, just like any powerful drug, may prove to be fatal.
If, you are planning on using such a substance, I hope that you will at the very least do some research into it. Some is better than nothing. Although, I highly advise that you DO NOT take it. Take it from an ex user (me).
How is cocaine manufactured?
I had the opportunity at one point in my life to visit South America to see for myself the entire process of the manufacturing of cocaine. From start to finish. An offer I respectively had to decline. The invitation came from a notorious, high profile trafficker.
My encounter was friendly and professional. I was curious to see and learn as an experience. The visit to the Amazon jungles might have been fortunate for me to have my head in a bag, if you catch my drift.
Instead, here is a free documentary that within the first 15 minutes explains its productions of making pure cocaine. Sorta. It doesn't tell us the length of each step of the process and other details, but it does show enough to tell you what other harmful ingredients used in the cooking.
Cement, kerosene, gasoline, battery acid, bleach, and more to name some. All of this remains fused with the cocaine, but as the video below states by these cooks,
"the consumer doesn't need to know this."
There are many dark secrets about its trafficking that not many knows of. As I was locked up, I was able to meet quite an amount of these traffickers. Many doing from 10 to life sentences. And a handful of these gave me insider details of what goes on. Sitting in my deteriorating memory cells of my brain!
Let us look further at some of these key ingredients used to make the process.
Apart from the herbicides and pesticides that are absorbed into the coca plant during cultivation, Sulfuric Acid was one of the first steps into making cocaine. Assuming you saw the video above, I will start with Sulfuric Acid.
What is Sulfuric Acid? What is it used for? What are the effects on the human body?
Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4) is an odorless and colorless chemical and is used to make synthetic silk, car batteries, paint, pesticides and even cleaning products found in our home. So you see, One does not need to go far to find this. Go into your kitchen and pull out a strong detergent, and I am pretty sure you will find it in the ingredient listing.
In concentrated forms it can be very damaging to the skin causing severe burns and permanant damage to the eyes. Ingesting this will burn everything inside and can be proven to be very fatal. So if you are planning on handling this commercial product, do yourself a very great favor in knowing its risks and know how to handle this product.
It can also be made naturally although not as concentrated or as pure in volcanic eruptions.
Potassium Permanganate
Another key ingredient in the making of cocaine. This one comes with a kick. By kick I mean explosive. If mixed with combustible liquids such as sulfiric acid you may very well get spontaneous combustion as a reaction.
Deep details on this can be found in the link above. You will also find the safety data sheet on how to handle this. You really want this in your kids? In your own body? Seriously?
Salts and other bases are also added. I leave here a pdf which focuses strictly on the cocaine
How old is the use of the coca plant been around for?
There is no clear-cut evidence that I have found to prove the very first time use. At first, I would have to guess said human would have chewed its leaves and discovered it that way or probably through some learned info through observation of another animal or insect chewing on its leaves. I am unsure. And from I have looked into, I can not seem to find any real historical evidence to suggest it.
However, being how this plant's origins reside in southern America, we can safely assume that the ancient civilization would have used this plant to breathe better in high altitudes such as the Aymara people which still live today.
The Khoka Plant is naturally and agriculturally grown today, mostly in South America, such as Bolivia, Columbia and Peru.
Cocaine Effects On The Human Body
The study done on cocaine is very extensive and will take many years to comprehend it all. Already, I had to leave out so much details due to its overall length of information. I hope the links I have provided will give you some clue as to what you are getting into and supporting when you are thinking about trying this dangerous drug.
The consumers have just as much to be blamed and are equal in having their hands painted red as the cartels that enslave poor regions into the fields to work to satisfy their "fun".
It is a very dark world the cocaine business and the main purchaser and benificiary is the USA and the UK, but more especially so in the USA. A topic we can express in greater length some other time.
Cocain use has many adverse side effects and if used in abusive fashions can have serious alterations to the theet, gums, nose, and many other parts of the body start to deteriate within. Organ failure, heart attacks, respitory failure, the list seems endless.
Stay tuned this next week for part 2 titled "Sugar Mama". JK. same title but part 2.
If you feel I left anything out (which i know I have) and would like to contribute into the info, leave your finding or personal experiences in the comments.
Contreversy is always welcomed on my blogs.
Thank you for reading and dropping by. If you find any grammatical error or mispells please point them out. I use a basic version of Language Tool that checks for these things, but it only works up to 10k characters.
Thankyou, come again any time.
