What things could we do differently to reduce climate change?

Climate change is one grave issue in current times and what actions we take today will directly impact on what type of future we give to our Mother Earth and our Children in the next 50 to 100 years.

There are many factors effecting climate change, some in big ways and some in small. But whatever it is, now it is every single individual's responsibility to reduce their carbon footprint on the planet. The greedy governments and big corporates will never stop doing what they are to harm the environment. There are some natural factors also which is effecting the Planet Earth's climate.

Greenhouse Gas emissions releasing CO2 and other gases are one of the major factors of climate change. Burning fossil fuels releases a lot of CO2 harming the climate. Increase number of cutting down trees takes away the resources that filters the CO2 in the environment.

More important for us is to now work on making the climate better and sustainable for our planet. Some people think, what can we do as single individuals and these are things to be done by Governments and large bodies, but that's not the fact. Every single individual when they understand the need of this hour and takes actions, at large it will start impacting our climate.

Personally I believe in taking these actions to reduce the climate change.

  1. Plant more trees. The most important one, the more we plant trees the more we increase the capacity of reducing our carbon footprint. For every tree cut there should be 2 trees planted. Even in city areas there should be trees planted, more garden areas should be created.

  2. Stop expanding the city limits. We should stop expanding our city limits, because when we do that we are destroying more and more of our nature.

  3. Be conscious about the products we use. There are many products which we use have been made by destroying nature. Like the beauty products that contain oxybenzone which are derived from coral reefs, which is destroying the marine environment. We need more coral reefs to maintain the ecological balance of the marine environment.

  4. Reduce use of plastics. Another very important one. If we can shift to reusable products and reduce the use of plastic bottles this will be one biggest relief for our environment. The plastic water bottles are one of the biggest contributors to pollution.

  5. Save on our Home Energy use. Mindlessly we sometimes operate in our own space. We keep our electrical appliances running. Mindfully switching off lights, fans, ACs will help save a lot of energy. Going in for solar energy alternatives will benefit. Every single household takes these little actions will create big impact on the environment.

  6. Pooling of vehicles and reducing the use of vehicles on road will be one big breather for our planet. Remember lock down times, however absurd they were but we saw many benefits out of them. No vehicles on road, less consumption of resources, with all of these we did see a difference in our surroundings. The air was cleaner and breathable.

  7. Less usage of mobile phones with lower frequencies another major solution to climate change. We keep demanding for higher frequencies impacting our own climate. First 2G, then 3G, 4G, now 5G and then 6G already in pipeline. If this does not stop we will destroy our environment more. The radiation is highly impacting the bird life, plant life disturbing nature's harmony. We need to get satisfied and stop somewhere.

Every week this much or more garbage is cleaned up from the beaches. A real shame that we cannot just be mindful of these very simple things and pollute our environment.

Keeping our beaches clean, recycling waste, planting more trees, reducing use of resources like water and electricity, less use of plastics...all of these small individual actions will lead to big results.

There are some big actions that also need to be taken at corporate levels. But we should not keep waiting for that. Every single person can impact the climate change by taking small actions and creating big impact.

If we bring imbalance in our natural environment then we will also have to bear the consequences. Who know millions of years ago there must be habitable life forms on other planets, e.g. mars. Civilizations there must have destroyed their planets by exploiting it's resources, just the same way as we are doing today on our planet Earth. If we do not take enough steps, in some 1000s of years Earth may also be one of those planets like Mars, dry and barren.

These are some ways in which we can work towards a better climate for our planet in which every life form can live harmoniously.

klimate change is yet another scam - the real killer is corporate pollution of our environment.
NOT your fault - THEIRS!!

I too believe in that, and do not buy into what the media propagates on climate change, but at the same time, I do believe that we need to be mindful about our environment and not use our resources mindlessly.
