It had been quite some time that we had done anything together in our circle. Lately 3 of my friends in the group have become new mothers and they are all now busy with their new Borns, so it is impossible for them to do other things at this point of time. Now the babies are growing up and they are also settling down, so we this last weekend we planned to do a potluck dinner. We excused the new moms from all the work and the remaining of us did their jobs as well.
After a long time, it was a fun evening that we all had together and also the new moms got a break from their daily routines.
We had a mix of veg and non veg menu. With everyone getting one dish, eventually it turned out to be lot of food. Everyone made their specialty items. I made Shami Kebabs on everyone's demand. The last time I had made it for a party, it did not turn out well. Thankfully this time, they turned out very well and everyone enjoyed it. I also made a Corn Salad to go with it.
My other friends made Potatoes Cutlets, Cheese and Paneer Samosas, Mince Samosas.
For the main course 2 of my friends made a chicken dish in different styles and 1 made Prawn Pulao, which was the stealer dish for the evening. One of our friends is very good in making Custard, so he made that, and that was also very yummy.
Overall, all the food was very yummy and we had a wonderful time. Along with the food, we had organized for some games. We played a game of Housie and Dumb Charades. We all need entertainment and fun in our life time to time to keep us lively and energized.

Foil paper on that stove is a brilliant idea.
It's a very good protection from the mess and it does not burn also. For cleanliness sake it is very good
