Today's review will be short because A) I have a lot of work B) I'm on the move as soon as I get up C) I never liked Buggy and probably never will. I liked the episode, less than 1, but it's still the good part of the series (supposedly the Kuro plot is the weakest, most people whose opinions I read complained about this stage of adaptation). I don't really like the idea of Buggy, but on the other hand, his anime character design is one of the worst - I hate him and his voice actor, too squeaky for me. I don't remember what Buggy was doing in his tent - was he bullying Luffy like that too? Because it reminded me of Joker's torture on Jason Todd (one of the Robins), generally feel the vibe of Batman's nemesis. I kinda missed that dog and mayor thread, but let's just say the developers gave us a hint of that scene, unless it was some random dog (I mean how Luffy already got rid of Buggy by throwing him up in the air ). On the other hand, this thread isn't that important to the story, it's a little more important than the bearded dwarf stuck in the box, so I'm not surprised that they cut it out. Especially since, unlike the dwarf, this thread doesn't come back later. Coming back to Buggy, I liked the other little changes from what we got in the anime. More brutal, his circus is more like a circus, pirates are not so polite, it always annoyed me in OP, except for characters like Shanks or Luffy. The special effects looked cheap at times, but overall, the Clown fight scenes came out REALLY GOOD! I expected it to be a nightmare for the animators, and I didn't feel the lower budget.
Luffy's flashbacks are still cool, I enjoyed watching them more than in episode 1. Only the kidnapping scene... It's still illogical xD. Same with Shanks who lost his arm (I understand her intent, i.e. the theme, but moments later, Shanks activates Royal Hooks... Kinda weird). However, the fight with the bandits itself was great - you can feel Yasopp's skill, and the Heavy with meat is also great in fighting. The scene with Haki is minimalistic, but at the same time it clearly reflects what this skill is. I won't reveal what it's about, if they follow the pace of the anime, you'll find out in... season 10? xD No, they will probably explain it to us in season 2, at most 3.
Karol rightly noticed that in the case of Nami, all the least favorable scenes ended up in trailers, because the red-haired thief is becoming more and more convincing. I can't wait to see her meet a certain character (a change from the manga, Luffy was supposed to fight Don Krieg, but from what I remember talking to my friends on forums / groups about OP, generally most people consider him a redundant character, apart from Gin, his boatswain, who is the only cool thing DK brought with him). We still don't know who Garp is to Luffy, but we can already guess. My girlfriend and I loved the scene where the Marine Hero feeds Den-Den-mushi lettuce... I already told her that the Marine Chief's goat will be even cuter :D.
I feel like I missed something... Oh, it doesn't matter - the most important thing is that you can feel the OP atmosphere, which doesn't bother normal viewers (my girlfriend is happier than after 1, you can see a bit more interest in her eyes when I tell her what's going on). and why it is important - e.g. this straw hat. I know that Luffy behaves like an autistic towards him, but it is really a very important artifact, probably one of the most important in this universe). The series is a bit clumsy to watch, but I think these are things that will be improved in the second season (because generally you can see that they know what they're doing, there's some intention behind it, maybe not every idea is successful, but it's not extreme stupidity at the level of what Lauren - the showrunner of "The Witcher" does), because what was most important was what they did.
Dzisiejsze omówienie będzie krótkie, bo A) mam dużo pracy B) jak tylko wstałem, to od rana jestem w ruchu C) nigdy nie lubiłem Buggy'ego i już chyba nigdy nie polubię. Odcinek podobał mi się, mniej niż 1, ale to nadal ta dobra część serialu (podobno wątek z Kuro jest najsłabszy, większość ludzi, których opinie czytałem, narzekali na ten etap adaptacji). Nie do końca podoba mi się pomysł na Buggy'ego, ale z drugiej strony, jego character design z anime, oceniam jako jeden z gorszych - nie cierpię go i jego aktora głosowego, zbyt piskliwy dla mnie. Nie pamiętam, co Buggy robił w swoim namiocie - też się tak znęcał nad Luffym? Bo mi to przypominało tortury Jokera na Jasonie Todd (jeden z Robinów), generalnie czuć vibe nemezis Batmana. Trochę brakowało mi tego wątku z psem i burmistrzem, ale "powiedzmy", że twórcy rzucili nam hintem z tej sceny, o ile to nie był jakiś randomowy pies (chodzi o to, jak Luffy już się pozbył Buggy'ego, wywalając go w powietrze). Z drugiej strony, ten wątek nie jest tak ważny dla historii, to jest troszkę ważniejsza kwestia niż brodaty karzeł, który utkwił w skrzynce, więc nie dziwi mnie fakt, że go wycięli. Tym bardziej, że w przeciwieństwie do karła, ten wątek nie wraca później. Wracając do Buggy'ego, podobały mi się inne, drobne zmiany, względem tego, co dostaliśmy w anime. Większa brutalność, jego cyrk jest bardziej jak cyrk, piraci nie są tacy ugrzecznieni, zawsze mnie to denerwowało w OP, no chyba że mowa o postaciach typu Shanks, czy Luffy. Efekty specjalne czasami wyglądały tanio, ale jako całokształt, sceny walki z Klaunem wyszły NAPRAWDĘ DOBRZE! Spodziewałem się, że to będzie koszmar dla animatorów, a nie czułem niższego budżetu.
Retrospekcje Luffy'ego nadal są fajne, oglądało mi się je przyjemniej niż w 1 odcinku. Tylko ta scena z porwaniem... Nadal jest nielogiczna xD. Tak samo jak z Shanksem, który stracił rękę (rozumiem jej zamysł, tj. tego motywu, ale chwilę później, Shanks aktywuje Królewskie Haki... Trochę dziwne). Natomiast sama walka ze zbójami wyszła super - czuć skilla Yasoppa, Gruby z mięsem też fajnie się bije. Scena z Haki minimalistyczna, a jednocześnie dobrze oddaje, to czym jest ta umiejętność. Nie będę zdradzał o co chodzi, jak pójdą tempem anime, to dowiecie się w... 10 sezonie? xD Nie no, pewnie wyjaśnią nam to w 2, max 3 sezonie.
Karol słusznie zauważył, że w przypadku Nami, wszystkie najmniej korzystne sceny, trafiły do trailerów, bo rudowłosa złodziejka jest coraz bardziej przekonywująca. Już się nie mogę doczekać aż zobaczymy jej spotkanie z pewną postacią (zmiana względem mangi, Luffy miał walczyć z Don Kriegem, ale z tego co pamiętam rozmowy z moimi znajomymi na forach / grupach o OP, to generalnie większość uważa go za zbędną postać, poza Ginem, jego bosmanem, który jest jedyną fajną rzeczą, jaką DK przywiózł wraz ze sobą). Ciągle nie wiemy, kim jest Garp dla Luffy'ego, ale już można się domyślić. Mojej dziewczynie i mi, podobała się scena, w której Bohater Marines, karmi Den-Den-mushi sałatą... Już jej powiedziałem, że koza szefa Marines będzie jeszcze bardziej urocza :D.
Mam wrażenie, jakbym coś pominął... A, nie ważne - najważniejsze, że czuć klimat OP, który nie przeszkadza normalnym widzom (moja dziewczyna jest bardziej zadowolona niż po 1, widać nieco większe zainteresowanie w jej oczach, jak jej mówię o co chodzi i dlaczego to jest ważne - np. ten słomiany kapelusz. Ja wiem, że Luffy zachowuje się jak autystyk względem niego, ale to naprawdę bardzo ważny artefakt, prawdopodobnie jeden z najważniejszych w tym uniwersum). Serial ogląda się trochę topornie, ale wydaje mi się, że są to rzeczy, które poprawią w drugim sezonie (bo generalnie widać, że wiedzą co robią, idzie za tym jakiś zamysł, może nie każdy pomysł jest udany, ale to nie jest skrajny debilizm na poziomie tego, co robi Lauren - showrunnerka "Wiedźmina"), bo to co było najważniejsze, to im wyszło.
