Struggling with Loss, Identity, and Self-Worth

I've lost everyone I believed would stick around. I relaxed, but you pulled the rug away from me. Now that you're gone and I'm lost, what will happen? I scan my surroundings for a path out, but all I see are wrecks. How did I deserve this bad luck? Do you blame me for everything that goes wrong?

All right, you reply, if I am the one who sees all unhappy endings. Could I simply put an end to everything and begin again? I keep my body on the brink, but I'm unable to leap. There is more for me to say here, but right now I'm having trouble getting beyond this obstacle.

"What made you do this?" They cry out and beg. I mean so little, so why should it matter if I bleed? I falter and fall, but I just can't bring myself to stay. Thus, leaving must be the solution. You describe me as difficult and delicate. In actuality, though, I'm the same. I simply adore the same sex.

What gives the person in my mirror such an odd appearance, then? My self-esteem is low. But you make me continue to act like a proper lady. "Get in and stay in the chair!" I'm sick, but why can't you hear me? I simply cannot quell this burning desire. What a mistake, I see only another bill when you look at me. An item to pay for and dispose of I regret to inform you, honey, but I'm more than just a legend.
