Getting started with ELECTROCULTURE: paramagnetic tower & magnetised cables (plus cling film greenhouse update!)

It has been exactly one month since I first posted about the subject of electroculture to give you an overview and since then I have shown you how to build your own low budget devices, I have shown you how colour makes a difference and I have shown you the importance of pyramids. I have told you how I am now in contact with the leading expert in electroculture Yannick Van Doorne and how I intend to dust off my time-lapse camera this Summer to capture the results in all their glory, and finally I have shown you the equipment I bought with the rewards from all these posts!

Now I am going to show you the implementation of this equipment on my land.

Paramagnetic tower

IMG_9148.jpeg

Before we did anything at all we drew this symbol in the earth, as recommended by Yannick Van Doorne in this 2010 lecture.

IMG_8413.jpeg

What we have here are the four elements in an open circuit and an open heart. It is a little message to our land and surrounding energy fields which begins a relationship of sorts. Once your land is feeling the benefits of electroculture you will be able to ask for things. Like less wind or more rain. Sounds mad I know but why not give it a try anyway?

A worm appeared from under a stone and crawled his way into the first of the four elements (earth) just after I had finished making it. Love little moments like this! Most people don't even notice them whereas I see them as a sign I am on the right path.

IMG_9155.jpeg

Next Sabrina did the open heart symbol. I felt like it was important we were both involved in the 'earth communication' bit.

IMG_9158.jpeg

The children were chilling on the trampoline at the time so we didn't bother them or make a big deal of this.

IMG_9161.jpeg

The paramagnetic tower was placed on the earth, right inside the heart.

IMG_9166.jpeg

Then we covered it all over and left it to do its thing.

IMG_9181.jpeg

This 25cm paramagnetic tower is made of basalt & cement and it projects a 'field of energy' all around it which is beneficial to both plants and humans, stimulating healthy growth in tune with the environment.

It does not in fact project its energy in a circle as one would expect, but rather in an egg shape, which when viewed in profile resembles some kind of harem tent.

Nord & Sud = North & South

The following diagram shows the Church model (left) & Cathedral model (right) which employs a second tower to boost the area of coverage.

IMG_9105.jpeg

The notes describe how the Church model has an influence of 10 - 20 times the height of the tower itself. While the Cathedral model has an influence of 30 - 76 times the height of the towers. With this in mind I do intend to buy a second one.

They are based on the Irish Round Towers which all have the same dimensions and a 51° angle on their conical roofs. According to this great article the towers collect their energy from the sun, the night sky and the atmospheric charge created by lightening.

The final point I want to make, which may already be obvious, is that they are effective on any scale, so you could make baby ones which sit in your plant pots or seedling trays. Just be sure to use a paramagnetic material.

Magnetised cables

I returned the following day to my land just as the sun was shining over the top of the mountain to place a magnetised cable running from south to north.

IMG_9368.jpeg

I had two compasses, just to be sure.

IMG_9361.jpeg

Once the string was in place I was ready to start digging.

IMG_9363.jpeg

The line begins right next to this cherry tree so it will be interesting to see what effect this has on the fruit which will be coming in a few months.

IMG_9365.jpeg

The hole doesn't need to be too big. From 10cm to 30cm is best but up to 50cm acceptable.

IMG_9374.jpeg

It was inevitable that I would have to move plants which were in the way and on this occasion it was a few lettuce, a liquorice plant and some baby beans.

Here's me on a tree!

IMG_9382.jpeg

I feel like a steam train ploughing through the ground with no mercy.

IMG_9390.jpeg

Sorry lettuce, it's your turn to move.

IMG_9396.jpeg

Into pots they go until it is the correct day to re-plant them.

IMG_9392.jpeg

We were on a fruit day so I was able to re-plant the beans directly after installing the cable. I should probably explain here that I always work to a Joseph Steiner biodynamic calendar which tells me what I can and can't do on any particular day.

IMG_9475.jpeg

I also use this calendar to keep a note of when I planted things and any observations throughout the year.

Getting back to my straight line game I am done now and ready to lay the cable.

IMG_9399.jpeg

What I have in my hand here is a collection of circular magnets with a hole through them. The magnets are surrounded by bees wax and a small Lakhovsky coil (copper wire open circuit). It doesn't necessarily have to be wax which holds them together, this is just what Yannick uses. It is imperative however that the right end be facing north, which is why it is marked like this.

IMG_9401.jpeg

Here I have galvanised steel cable.

IMG_9400.jpeg

I lay the cable in the ground.

IMG_9404.jpeg

I place the magnets onto the cable at the south end of my land.

IMG_9405.jpeg

Finally I tighten the wire up as much as I can before filling the dirt back in.

IMG_9412.jpeg

And that's it!

The cable is now able to harness magnetic energy day and night, fertilising the soil around it, no matter how long it is. Just make sure you place the magnets at the south end of your cable and keep it running exactly north.

Now I move on to my second piece of land where as you can see I intend to put two cables side by side with one of them running directly underneath the cling film greenhouse.

Cling film greenhouse update

When I posted about making this cling film greenhouse three weeks ago I had some comments which suggested it wouldn't last longer than a week.

Well, as you can see it is still alive & well.

IMG_9358.jpeg

Looking quite majestic in the morning light.

IMG_9293.jpeg

With not a single problem after three weeks.

IMG_9294.jpeg

Perfectly housing the plants within.

IMG_9296.jpeg

I have my new copper pyramid in there, with one side facing north.

IMG_9423.jpeg

The energy is being projected down from this magical shape to the plants below.

IMG_9424.jpeg

This broccoli is developing really well now after previously being ravaged by insects.

IMG_9425.jpeg

Have never had much success with broccoli so it's great to see a little one arriving here!

IMG_9298.jpeg

And check out this mustard, so much better than those 'on the outside'.

IMG_9113.jpeg

The chives are coming back perfectly, a full month ahead of the rest.

IMG_9297.jpeg

The kale is about to explode out in all directions since I pruned the main stalk.

IMG_9299.jpeg

Am particularly proud of my spinach because everyone told me it wasn't possible to grow here.

IMG_9301.jpeg

Yeah right. Not possible for them maybe.

IMG_9427 2.jpeg

Here is the salad box I picked at the end of my day.

Final thoughts

I am already extremely content with what my garden gives me in return for my efforts so I am super excited to see how these electroculutre additions will shake things up.

What I have learned is that fruit, nuts, seeds, grains, vegetables, herbs, flowers, whatever we can think of it will be bigger with electroculture. But beyond size it will also taste better, have higher nutrient value, heightened resistance to cold & heat extremes, heightened resistance to disease, better ability to deal with pest infestations and longer shelf-life potential once harvested.

It's basically the all singing all dancing answer to global famine, yet still the bowls will be empty and stomachs will rumble this decade because only a very small percentage of us will ever learn this information and fewer still will take action.

While it remains to be the outstanding ethical duty of these few people to share this knowledge far and wide, it will in fact be their nutty wizard children who take electroculture further than we can possibly imagine...

Love & Light everyone 🌱
