Today, the holy Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated in various countries of the East, including Saudi Arabia. On the tenth day of the month of Zil-Hajj, we celebrate Eid-ul-Azha by slaughtering animals, which is one of the parts of the Hajj in the world Muslim grand ceremony as a guide to the ultimate sacrifice. Therefore, the festival in which the Muslim nation gathers to gain closeness to Allah Almighty through sacrifice is called Eid-ul-Azha or the Eid of Sacrifice.

Eid-ul-Azha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. Just as Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God intervened and provided a ram as a substitute.
During Eid-ul-Azha, Muslims gather for prayers at the mosque or in designated prayer areas. The day begins with a special congregational prayer called Eid prayer, which is led by an imam. People dress in their finest attire and exchange greetings, saying "Eid Mubarak" to wish each other a blessed Eid.
One of the central traditions of Eid-ul-Azha is the sacrifice of an animal, usually a sheep, goat, cow, or camel. This act symbolizes Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son and his ultimate obedience to God. The meat from the sacrificed animal is divided into three parts: one-third is kept for the family, one-third is given to relatives and friends, and one-third is donated to the less fortunate.
Eid-ul-Azha is also a time for Muslims to come together with family and friends, share meals, and give and receive gifts. It is a time of joy, gratitude, and reflection on the importance of faith and obedience.
In addition to the religious significance, Eid-ul-Azha is a time of charity and giving. Many Muslims choose to donate money or food to charitable organizations, ensuring that those in need can also partake in the festivities.
Overall, Eid-ul-Azha is a significant occasion for the Muslim Ummah, promoting unity, compassion, and a sense of community among its followers.
