Good to see Jordan Peterson getting really angry with our collapsing civilisation.
He has resigned from his professorship. You can listen why...
... or read it here. "The appalling ideology of diversity, inclusion and equity [DIE] is demolishing education and business." And is also demolishing thinking.
I have said for some years that the current philosophy of woketards started through the funding and promotion of the philosophy of relativism. Peterson largely uses the left-right political paradigm, but I want to push back to a philosophy that appears on the surface to be potentially neutral, but that has been used to promote totalitarianism and stupidity.
Do you believe that "everything is relative"?
Do you believe that "2+2=5"?
Do you see the contradiction?
Can you even see one as a consequence of the other?
The elitescum threatened to unleash the nihilists and atheists onto the world; what they failed to clarify was that nihilism would come under the cloak of soft, fuzzy relativism. How soothing it must be to not have to think clearly about anything; to accept everything without even the need to reconcile today's lie with yesterday's lie. This is Orwellian doublethink.
Those of you who may have little sympathy for universities should take grave note that what happens in these institutions spreads out to the rest of society. The concept of the university as it now exists was started by Charlemagne, some 1200 years ago, as he was appalled at how ignorant Europe had become compared to the neighbouring Arab caliphate. Knowledge is power, and power can also be knowledge. But, if one is missing a generation of philosophers, of true seekers of truth, how can one distinguish knowledge from propaganda?
And hence we come to the present, where power has distorted knowledge to such an extent that many people don't even believe it exists. But notice that relativism has not promoted a more sceptical, rational society, but completely the opposite, a widespread belief that believing is the sole justification for truth. When truth becomes relative, most people default to just believing what they're told. And then those who do know will be treated like thought criminals. There is ample proof, for those with eyes to see.

Here in the U.S. everything is a social narrative that discards pesky facts.
They teach everything is the white mans fault, is racism or misogyny etc.
I saw a headline the other day claiming math is racist (a product of the white supremacy patriarchy).
Here in the U.S. they attack every institution (especially education as that is where they are brainwashing these idiots) using the buzzwords that claim the thing attacked is a hate system and if we can but destroy these things we can all hold hands and sing Kumbaya with one another. Well, not all of us, I mean all the non white males because there won't be any more white males in their fantasy land they imagine.
I saw an article as well the other day discussing how generational wealth was white supremacy, positing that perhaps the time had come to begin disallowing us to pass our belongings to our children. The argument being that it was racist because in the U.S. it happens mostly in white families and not POC families.
I also saw another one where (in California, one of the bastions of crazy ideas) its being proposed that all parents lose their kids so that we can achieve "true equity" as the writer describes it. Even goes so far as to mention trading ones kids for the homeless kids. This shit is scary, made more scary because so many supposed college educated morons are parroting this shit.

I could list this bizarre shit all day long, as well as give examples of shit I see every day I work as one of my stops is at a lab at a major university. The amount of woke shit prodding you at every corner makes me want to barf.
Your country, as well as the Anglosphere and Eurozone, are all under direct mind attack.
The shit you describe has not yet happened in Asia, where I am.
If and when the whole European culture collapses then I expect the assault on the rest of the world coz, let's face it, there is little history elsewhere of the right to individual freedom. Even the peaceful places have deeply collectivist mentalities - which, as always, the ultra-rich laugh at. So it is not very different here, just that the starting point is already nearer the communist state of mind.
All of which makes no sense at all given that the pinnacle of Asian philosophy is the liberation of the self - whatever the system, they all do the same thing.
I refuse to accept modern academia, they can suck my balls, my oldest sister is a woketard, up to her.
Time to ignore them!
There is no ignoring them, they seek to invade every corner of privacy one has. I began suspecting long ago this problem festered and grew because to many ignored them and now they are emboldened by their seemingly large numbers coupled with the violent hatred they have been getting away with using.
I think this one is going to require a forcible push back into the closets they felt emboldened to come out of before this is going away. They mistook civility as fear and like rabid dogs believe they are circling now for the kill. There is only one way to deal with a rabid dog sadly.
Then we shall kill them, end of story.
Most haven't noticed yet... and never expect thanks, coz when was the last time a human expressed thanks for being shown to be a cretin?
LOL, you made me laugh out loud then. :-)
I completely agree with him, I obviously like I am sure all people believe in unity and everyone being allowed to be themselves but everything has gotten so out of hand these days. People wonder why everyone is so depressed, or getting health issues at a young age, peoples values have gotten so out of hand these days, obsessed with money, power, being a victim, crap food, I am pretty sure if people got back to being out in nature more, eating from nature and hanging out with people more than arguing online depression rates would plummet. I really think a lot of these online angry ppl abusing their power are depressed and don't know how to socialise anymore from having not done it for so long, it's now possible to spend your whole life online, do all your socialising, earn all your money, I want to keep my hand in but I am trying to get back to real life things a lot more like real life exhibitions, events etc now we are free again. I think a lot of people truly forget how to talk to people and connect in real life and where a lot of this craziness comes from.
Correction here. It seems the only people they are demanding be allowed to be themselves are either crazy people, or folks so angry at the approved folks to be hating that they openly call for their demise, sometimes in a most violent fashion. Of course those approved folks are the evil white folks.
Folks like myself aren't allowed to be myself, that is a hate crime for me to be myself and in their world view the world will heal once me and those who resemble me are no longer here polluting the world with the oppressive hatred that spews forth from my very being. :/
yes exactly this wanting to be accepted for yourself shouldn't come at the expense of hating someone else. This is exactly it. I have had people of colour say awfully racist things to me online like mayo face or saying all men want black women now because they don't find white women attractive at all etc Imagine if I said this kind of thing the other way around!! I often find the ones who get the most aggressive are totally guilty of the very things they accuse others of. I don't care what race, gender or sexuality someone is and for sure stand up for your right to be yourself but the hate that comes with it these days from a small minority has gotten so out of hand. The idea is becoming more accepting of each other not just turning the hate from one person to another.
Reminds me, if you haven't seen the film, see if you can find the ending of Surrogates - when everyone gets unplugged!
haha that sounds interesting
is it on YouTube ?
This is bizarre - many copies on YT and yet... they nearly all cut off at the very end... this bit...
to get the context, watch some of the longer endings.
censorship isn't bizarre to me anymore haha
I can now see that, if enough people believe something, that thing takes form. We have the power to create anything we can imagine. That our imaginations have been deliberately hobbled, via "education", is becoming very clear. If our imaginations were free, we would not be slaves.
I have an issue with people blaming the education system, as if they did not have any capacity to think for themselves.
I had a decent formal education but never limited myself to it - indeed, the limitations are what drove me away.
I came across a quote recently - I'm not going to look for it, so shall paraphrase.
"How long should I spend to become a proficient shaman?"
"24/7. You are not learning about something, you are learning to master your own powers, hence always be vigilant and aware."
It was longer, but I hope you get the point. And yes, collective imagination is powerful - for better or worse. But having a powerful personal imagination means we always have a choice.
Having said all that, I agree that the education system teaches much ado about nothing - beyond language and basic maths. We go 10x faster with my kid at home and learn things that are not on any syllabus.
Education is very different now from when I went to school. Science no longer has many labs for instance - it's almost all memorization. There is ridiculously overt sex education and CRT and tons more propaganda. The children are taught to obey. This has all gotten worse with covid. It pains me to see children walking home after school, still wearing their masks.
Yes parents educating their children is much, much better. We have been led to believe that education is yet another thing that only "professionals" can do. But the parents are the true professionals in their own children's lives.
Yes, Einsteins theories on relativity is pretty clear on that one.
No, even with modular arithmetic you won't be able to pull that one off.
No, mathematics and physics don't contradict each other.
No. Why should general relativity lead to faulty mathematics?
You get a prize for being the first to mention Einstein.
Your prize is to explain the relationship between the theory of relativity and the philosophy of relativism - in your own "pretty clear" words.
Go woke, go broke.
