Right up there with papaya trees which grow much faster, growing a coconut tree requires few things. The interesting thing is that if you were to plant something like an apple for example. You can plant an apple in the ground and the apple contains all that is needed -water- to start the seeds. With an apple -and most fruits- the seeds are stored internally surrounded by the fruit which contains the water. Coconuts are opposite the coconut is the seed and the water is stored internally.
