DOUBLE RAINBOW 🌈

in ecoblurt •  3 years ago  (edited)

A rainbow is an atmospheric occurence that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a wavelength of colors in the sky. When the light passes through the droplets, the light splits into a band of colors. It is in the form of an arc that has seven visible colors.

A double rainbow is also an arc of color formed in the sky when light reflected twice within a raindrop. It is said that it normally has a double rainbow, the primary and secondary. However, the secondary is less vibrant differing to the primary that is why only one rainbow is noticeable. Furthermore, the order of the color in primary rainbow is reflected to the secondary that makes its color in reversed order.

Do you know that a rainbow is actually a full circle? It is but we only see half of it on the ground.
Is there a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
There is none. A rainbow has no real end because it does not exist in a particular location.

Colors of the rainbow:
ROYGBIV

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Indigo
  • Violet
