It's been sometime since I joined #hive and started writing here and I have been using #ecency since the beginning. I know there was a major update that introduced new features and eliminated some old one.
Now you can no longer use #boost feature on #Ecency to boost your post but the curation will be done by curators and your post may get a vote from ecency if it is really worth it.
Now you can use your #ecency points to promote your post or other post just like before and there is also a #boostplus feature which will allow user to get hive power delegation from ecency for random time duration.
If I am not wrong 7 days delegation is for 1500 #ecency points and the amount you get in that time is 200 hiver power. It remains the same and you can get that power extended to upto 90 days for more points.
Here we can do some simple #maths,
1500 points come for $2.8 rougly
200 hive power curation rewards at 10% will be 20 hive per year.
that means 1.66 hive per month
and 0.388 every seven days.
I personally think that the amount should be a little more but anyways, #ecency consists of huge team and maybe they have a vision for this amount of 200 hivepower delegation.
I respect their decision and I will continue to use this frontend for the good #user-experience I have had so far. I might not use the boost+ feature and rather use the #promote one as that is what I think is more beneficial in my opinion.
