I was trying to help a new Blurt Blogger get set up on Dtube but I can’t remember how to do it …
There is this link for new Accounts but it needs DTC to create …
How do you create a Dtube account without DTC ?
Can you do it after you are logged in through Blurt ???
Anyone know ?

To make an account on that page you need already an account and enough DTCs.
You can make one for him, if you wish to burn a few DTC.
But instead of using that page, your friend can use this one:

I've never tried to make a Dtube account apart from when I created my account. Things have changed quite a bit since then. I haven't been keeping up with Dtube very much.
I think @sagarkothari88 and @tekraze run witness nodes there. I think @techcoderx is also either a witness or a dev or both on Dtube.

I set up a second account for myself a while ago but I had a lot of DTC … not sure how someone new can do it without any DTC or a place for someone to send some ? Kind of the same thing when people try to set up on Blurt.Blog without having any Blurt … I guess I could create one and send the keys in DM ? But you know the saying … not your keys, not your Bitcoin.
How much DTC do you need to post your vids there ?
(I have an account/2 accounts - but it wont let me upload bugger all - presumably for the reasons you mentioned above)

Set your Voting power % very low so you can build up more Voting power …

Yeah … there are ways around all the YouTube rules … especially with Youtube Shorts from your phone (15-60 second Videos) … it just means you need to get really creative with your videos. There is always away. But also I earn the most from Dtube with Comments …. setting my Voting power low (1%) and leaving comments on Top videos … you don’t ever need to post a video there to earn lots of Dtube.
Also I earn the most when I comment around 11:00 pm (New York time)
I get .25 Dtube from every comment … so it adds up very fast …
I recently sold 6,000 Dtube coins on Ionomy …. I am rebuilding with the 30 million VP I have …
So far I am back up to 120 DTC …I think you can start building some good VP with 10 DTC … worth about 100 Blurt

I have a Dtube account from a long time ago. Created when it was free to do so
I think. However, it doesn't let me upload videos, or at least I haven't figured out how to make uploads work. And since I don't use youtube, I can't link any videos. Pretty useless.
In my experience, most decentralized video services have a LONG way to go to match the usability of centralized services. Odysee works pretty well. Other than that, I use Daily Motion and Rumble which of course are centralized. I also try to use 3Speak but my uploads fail to encode 50% of the time so that one feels like a big time waster too.
I can’t get 3speak uploads to work… not sure why. The on,y thing that works is YouTube and Dtube with YouTube video urls … Odysee is just my YouTube uploads also. So…. Yeah … Youtube.
Pff, they made it harder to join now. Last time when I created an account for Blogika about a year ago it was easy. All we needed is an email. I don't understand why most our blockchain social media make it harder to join while they should do the opposite. Crazy.
It’s on purpose.… they want to keep it closed to the public so they can earn more of the pie. There are no rewards for helping people to Join Hive, Blurt, Steemit or Dtube. There No rewards for promoting any of these places either.
That means the long time price will be mostly dropping. I wish something change in the future and they will realize that more people will make the coins more valuable.
I think they are working on Something with Blurt to make it easier. Free Sign up etc ...
