It's really funny to see Dtube, hive, bitcointalk and many other websites blocked in Russia !

You wonder how the hell I'm posting here so ? lol

I just use vpn services to change my ip to access all this websites. They work slow of course because of that, but at least they are working. The vpn I use is called ''Browsec'', it's installed on each of my browsers. And on phone I use another one as well. I'm glad that the free ones are enough for me. It's really funny to block a website in a country while people who know about vpn, just use it and access the website. I don't think that they can create such a law to not use vpn, that will be stupid I think.

I know as well that they block youtube and google in China. So, maybe some websites are blocked in your country as well. Government thinks that people can't figure out and do things their way. After all, they can move to another country where nothing is blocked. I'm glad I learned about vpn. I feel that's a gate to the world open for me.

I hope in the future we will have much younger people leading the country. Just like in El Salvador where the president support bitcoin and crypto.

Maybe most high placed authorities are old for a reason. I don't think that's due to their wisdom !

Turning the internet age backwards - like the old days there were many intranets that then gatewayed to the larger net eg AOL lmao. This time, will be national.

Yeah, I heard also about wifi mesh. Something like an internet more free or something like that. There is even a coin and a blockchain working on that. Here is it : https://smartmesh.io/ Check their white paper. I think they are building something really interesting !

I think wifi/mobile meshes were used to supply internet to some of the "Arab Spring" participants.

Too bad😩
Crypto has been blocked in Nigeria for a long time now.
Once a person makes a bank transaction relating to Crypto... Both the account and money would be confiscated.
We now do such transactions through P2P making sure we not mention anything Crypto while making the payment.

The same here. That's why I always write and say that's funny to ban crypto in a country. There will be many ways to use it anyway. The funny thing is that some countries are willing to take taxes from crypto earning and that's even funnier. I don't know how they're going to do that, and will they pay for the risk ? While we take all the responsibility of losing crypto in case it's hacked, or we lost the keys.

When I travelled to Iran, faced major issues on this blocking thing. There even FB has been banned. Thanx to the VPN services to get break through.

Yeah, Iran because of their politics, religion, and traditions maybe even more strict than Russia. The funny thing is that they can't cover all the websites they don't like. Even by blocking what they blocked, people will find the alternatives. lol

True, every restriction that they impose, people will find out some solutions to deal with it.

@rt-international forgot to inform us about it? Are they using vpn too? lol

I don't know. They have strange information as well. I don't think they use vpn because they have offices in Europe. And all those tv guys I guess you know how they work. lol
