Shackled minds - the science is settled

Yep.
"Believe the science" is the most unscientific thing I have ever heard.
A clear sign of absolute bullshit.
But it works because most people know fuckall science - their brains are not even at the Archimedes stage of science. They then bamboozle themselves with quantum woo and wanna sound really deep - as deep is a shit-hole.

When I was a science communicator in London, had to swallow the woketard idea that we should not assume a "deficit model" (that most people know nothing) and instead "engage" with the public. Well, know what, the deficit model is true!

"the deficit model is true!" After the last two years I concur.

shame, so long and thanks for... nothing much, really!

I used to own a bookshop and a large library - largely all sold off - was an interesting job but totally NOT exportable to a country that doesn't read and where paper rots within a few years.

I kept what seems a weird selection of books, but I remind myself I was kinda in the middle of co-writing a novel. One book I still consult is Huxley's Science & Literature. A small tome, I suspect few people even know about, but was the start of the modern "popular science" fad.

But what he says is interesting: the task of the scientist as writer, or even the science journalist, is to articulate what may otherwise be difficult ideas to the public. But as that articulation passes off as "public knowledge" it is also the source of science propaganda. It doesn't have to be - but how can the public tell the difference??

They simply put can not re "but how can the public tell the difference??"
My mother kept on banging on about r numbers during the scamdemic until I asked her to prove convid existed with a peer reviewed study, and showed her the 8, yes 8 emails I got back from the UK government after FOI requests, that they, the government - had NOT 1!!!!!!!!!!!

Beyond flabbergasting!!
I know.

As discussed in many other places, propaganda is not about being rational, it is rational+emotional, so the only way to untangle it is through emotional counter-propaganda - and that's hard when all such attempts are banned, apart from in small ghettos.

The only use I can see for such digital ghettos is to accumulate real info and articulate it effectively for export to the masses. memes too! But smart people have spent decades and been paid millions to create the NLP propaganda.

Let's try an example.

"Your government has stated in writing that they have no proof the covid virus exists. Do you believe them?"

brain-crash!

Read this shite and tell me George Orwell's 1984 book is not coming https://abcnews.go.com/Health/fda-authorizes-1st-covid-19-breathalyzer-test/story?id=84099986

This is not the same as just telling people.
This forces the internal dissonance.
Indeed, whether they answer yes or no, they're fuckd!

We are all fucked until we come up with a better idea than regurgitate and repeat schooling and central power, plus monopoly money.
