Probando jugo de Coco... pero Chino!

If there's one drink I really enjoy, it's coconut water, and just a few days ago my bosses invited me to have some canned coconut milk that comes from.... China!

They usually consume a lot of products that come directly from there, that they acquire from distributors in their country in Argentina or also in stores in the Chinese neighborhood located in Buenos Aires Capital.

And in these really hot days, having this drink really cold, was really an experience, because I usually always had was the coconut water and ate the pulp separately.

In this case, it was the pulp mixed with its own water to make a quite thick juice (I really took it from the can and that's why I didn't take a photo of it!) in which you could feel the pieces of pulp, so you not only drank it, but you could also chew it a little.

One of the things I liked is that it doesn't have added sugar, so the flavor is much more concentrated and you really enjoy the natural flavor of the coconut. This came in really handy in my process of completely quitting the consumption of artificial sugars, which even though it has progressed a lot, I would say that I'm already at 90%, because sometimes a cookie or a piece of cake is really tempting to me.

It was really nice to try coconut in liquid again, because around here you really see very few and they are somewhat expensive because they are far from the coast, so its flavor took me back to my pregnancy, when I was practically addicted to coconut water.

It's a drink that can be used as a substitute for regular milk, (although I wouldn't dare add it to coffee) and that provides many health benefits because it is rich in healthy fats.

So it works perfectly as a snack between meals, and that I would definitely consume without worrying about the issue of calories and sugars.
