In the eyes of my pet, I am not a nobody. I am somebody who is capable of sharing and loving. Every time our eyes meet, his eyes convey a message of assurance that even if others leave me, he will always stay by my side; that if the world finds me unlovable, he will always see me so worthy of a love that is genuine and beautiful, and; that if I feel down or content, he is ready to offer a cozy snuggles. All these do not just apply to me and my pets. If you have one, I know you know where I am coming from.
I congratulate you, you who are an animal lover, for not every human heart has reached that point of embracing and understanding the art of loving the animals. You are on the road to mastering the virtue of empathy. You are blessed and all the more blessed if you have a pet who finds joy in loving you for who you are. They may be animals, but their capacity to love is mind-blowing. Like dogs, you can never question their loyalty and admiration for you. I can say that because I am a fur dad. I was not into animals before, to be honest, but life has taught me to appreciate them and I never regret it. In the eyes of my pets, I am their defense and home. To me, they are my best friends and happy pill, and I say this with certitude, "they are a proof that despite the absence of a particular systematized language, pure love still exists".🐾🐾🐶🐾🐾😸🐾🐾
