Something to remember, the Dodo. A magnificent bird but a bird that was met with unfortunate circumstances and perhaps stupidity.
One might say a person can be as dumb as a dodo. But this isn't the case, dodo birds showed intelligence and to be a dodo means to live life without flight.
If anything it was the stupidity of humans that caused this bird to go extinct. I would say that people are dumb for eating dodo birds to such extent.
