i also like the point in the movie "Soylent Green" where the cop says their only job is to protect the rich from the poor.

I never saw this film but I just watched the trailer. How strange to hear "In the year 2022..." 😊 Your point about police being here to protect the wealthy is spot on and that clip you shared concerning slavery really puts it into the proper context.

if every movie and television show that was over twenty years old was FREELY AVAILABLE (in the public domain), then there would be a lot fewer new movies and shows and they would be much higher quality (because they'd be forced to compete with the all-time greats)
I see your point, but the younger generations would not be able to appreciate the quality of the messages of those old films, like The Network for example, because they are so dumbed down with superheroes and Wokeness!
