I go back to our son Hamim's sixth grade thirteenth chapter. From 1945 to 2015, our territory has been divided twice. From India year to Pakistan East Pakistan. Then in 1971 independent Bengal. After many ups and downs, the SDG Index has been rising since the end of December 2008 when Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, took over the charge of Bangladesh.

The United Nations was formally established on October 24, 1945. Since its inception, the United Nations has been playing a commendable role in creating an environment of security, economic development, social progress and cooperation in the world. In 2000, the United Nations announced the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to build a world free of hunger, poverty, inequality, disease and environmental disasters. Following the expiration of the MDGs in 2015, the United Nations set a 2030 Boundary Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this chapter we will learn about the concept of sustainable development and the SDGs declared by the United Nations.

Farmers in our country are increasing crop production by using chemical fertilizers and pesticides in their crop lands but unplanned development activities are ruining the overall environment of our country so biodiversity is going to be damaged. Such development activities cannot be effective.

At the end of this chapter lesson we Explain the concept of sustainable development; Describe the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) declared by the United Nations; I will be able to make a poster based on the UN-declared SDGs; We will be interested in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Lesson-1: Sustainable Development We live on a planet called Earth. We get from nature all the necessary materials for life on earth like oxygen, food, fuel, water, soil, shelter etc. Not only this, with the help of tree shade and pleasant weather we can see that our world is constantly changing environmentally, economically and socially. What is the reason behind this? The world's population is growing and so is human demand; The amount of luxury is increasing. People are thinking of improving themselves and increasing their income to meet the needs and luxuries, doing various kinds of development work. For example, people are building new homes, roads, factories, various types of infrastructure partnerships.

The United Nations is playing an important role in the development of the world today and in addressing various challenges. The Millennium Development Conference was organized by the United Nations in September 2000. It set 1 goal and promised to implement them by 2015. Among the goals were: eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, universal primary education, empowerment of women through gender equality, reduction of infant mortality rate, improvement of maternal health, prevention of HIV / AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensuring sustainable environment and international development. Establishing.

The deadline for achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) has already passed. Following this, the United Nations declared the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A new horizon of cooperation has been opened in the world through SDGs. There are 17 specific goals for this collaboration. The work of achieving SDG has started from January 2016 with the goal of global change which will end on 31st December 2030.
