Hello dear community,
I'm not a grandpa, but I'm not the youngest either, I've had a few decades behind me, and I love eating tomatoes, so I've eaten a few thousand in my life. Probably even a few tens of thousands.
But I've never had anything like this before.
I cut a tomato in half a few days ago and was very surprised.
The seeds had actually already sprouted and you could already see a small plant on one of them.
That's a natural process, but I've never had that before and wouldn't expect it, especially with a tomato that's still quite firm.
If they were older and soft, then I would understand.
Have you ever seen this before?

Ich bin zwar kein Opi, aber bin auch nicht mehr der jüngste, paar Jahrzehnte habe ich schon hinter mir, und ich esse liebend gern Tomaten, somit habe ich in meinem Leben einige Tausend verputzt. Wohl ein paar Zehntausend sogar.
Aber bisher habe ich so etwas noch nicht gehabt.
Habe eine Tomate halbiert vor paar Tagen und mich sehr gewundert.
Da waren doch tatsächlich schon die Kerne gekeimt und bei einem sah man schon ein kleines Pflänzchen.
Das ist ja ein natürlicher Prozess, aber das hatte ich noch nie und würde das vor allem nicht bei einer noch recht festen Tomate erwarten.
Wenn diese schon älter und weich wäre, dann würde ich das ja verstehen.
Habt ihr das schon mal gesehen?
I guess that shows you that it's natural! It's not everyday that you find something that is not covered in wax, or sprayed with pesticides. You should plant it! So that you can produce more tomatoes and never have to buy another tomato from the supermarket again! Keep up the good work!
