Hello dear community,
With heavy hearts, we are now on our way home, having just arrived in the Czech Republic and still have a long way to go.
I needed a little refreshment and got myself a can of cappuccino at the gas station.
Not exactly cheap, it cost a whole 75.90 CZK, which is 3.01€ or 3.27 USD. But it's always expensive at gas stations.
When I realized this, after I already had the 2 cans with vanilla flavor in my hand, I put them back immediately. One must be enough.
But I was shocked by something else:
Seriously? The product comes from far away Taiwan? Why? Are there no local products of this kind in the Czech Republic? If not, then surely in another neighboring country, surely in any EU country and surely from the Czech Republic.
I only saw this after the purchase, I would probably have bought it out of necessity anyway, but I would certainly have reconsidered or looked to see if there was anything else.
What do you think? Does a product like this really have to come from so far away? With some products that are specialties that are not eaten/drunk by many people every day and are therefore unprofitable to produce here, I can understand it a little. But with something like this?
Do you pay attention to regional products when you buy them? I don't actively do so, but I would say that apart from a few exceptions, many of the products I buy tend to be regional, i.e. at least produced in Germany.

schweren Herzens sind wir nun auf dem Heimweg, jetzt gerade in Tschechien und haben noch einen weiten Weg vor uns.
Eine kleine Stärkung hatte ich gebraucht und mir an der Tanke eine Dose Cappuccino geholt.
Nicht gerade günstig, hat ganze 75,90 CZK gekostet, was 3,01€ oder 3,27 USD macht. Aber an Tankstellen ist es i.mer teuer.
Als ich das realisiert hatte, nachdem ich die 2 Dose schon in der Hand hatte mit Vanille Geschmack, habe ich diese direkt wieder zurück gestellt. Eine muss auslangen.
Ich war aber über etwas anderes schockiert:
Ernsthaft? Das Produkt kommt aus dem weit entfernten Taiwan? Wieso? Gibt es in Tschechien keine lokalen Produkte dieser Art? Wenn nicht, dann doch sicherlich in einem anderen angrenzenden Land, sicherlich in jedem EU Land und bestimmt auch aus Tschechien.
Habe das erst nach dem Kauf gesehen, vermutlich hätte ich es aus der Not heraus dennoch gekauft, aber sicherlich deswegen auch nochmal überlegt oder geschaut ob es da nicht doch noch etwas gibt.
Was meint ihr dazu? Muss so ein Produkt wirklich von soweit her kommen? Bei manchen Produkten, die Spezialitäten sind, die nicht täglich von vielen Memschen gegessen/getrunken werden und daher unrentabel hier zu produzieren sind, kann ich es ein wenig verstehen. Aber bei sowas?
Achtet ihr beim Kauf auf regionale Produkte? Ich zwar nicht aktiv, aber ich würde mal jetzt behaupten, das bis auf ausnahmen vieles eher Regionale Produkte sind, die ich in der Regel kaufe, also zumindest in Deutschland produziert.
