Liberty Media looked for a super special event for the start of the championship in which the category will celebrate 75 years and chose the O2 stadium in London, where the ten teams showed the design of the cars they will use in the 76th championship.
Formula 1 was born on 13 May 1950 with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. That race was the culmination of the talks that had begun in the 1930s, in which a tournament was sought to unite the Grand Prix seasons. The invasion of Poland by Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany, which led to the start of the Second World War, logically put a stop to the plan. After the war ended with a victory for the Allies, the races, the GPs and the talks returned.
It all led to the creation of F1, which began at the old English airfield from which many of the Royal Air Force planes that bombed Berlin took off. Nino Farina became the first winner in history with Alfa Romeo and, at the end of the year, he would become the first champion. The second race in history was in Monaco and there, Juan Manuel Fangio would achieve his triumphant baptism.

La Fórmula 1 nació el 13 de mayo de 1950 con la disputa del GP de Gran Bretaña, disputado en Silverstone. Esa carrera fue el colofón de las charlas que se habían iniciado en la década del 30 del siglo pasado, en las se buscaba crear un torneo que uniera las temporadas de Grandes Premios. La invasión de la Alemania nazi de Adolf Hitler a Polonia, que desembocó en el comienzo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, pusieron un freno lógico al plan. Finalizado el conflicto bélico con triunfo de los Aliados, retornaron las carreras, los GP y las conversaciones.
Todo desembocó en la creación de la F1, que comenzó en el viejo aeródromo inglés desde el que despegaron muchos de los aviones de la Real Fuerza Aérea que bombardearon Berlín. Nino Farina se anotó como primer ganador en la historia con Alfa Romeo y, al cierre del año, se convertiría en el primer campeón. A lot of water has passed under the bridge in these 75 years, historic duels, battles on the track, fatal accidents... These days, F1 is going through one of its best moments in terms of popularity and interest and Liberty Media, the company that manages the commercial rights, took advantage of the tailwind to organize the pompous presentation at the O2 in London. For the first time in 76 seasons, a joint presentation was held, with the ten teams and 20 drivers together. However, only three of this year's cars were seen, which had already been presented before: McLaren, Williams and Haas. However, all of them showed for the first time their livery that they will wear in the World Championship.

The presentation featured histrionics from some of the protagonists, such as McLaren CEO Zak Brown, the emotion of Lewis Hamilton dressed in Ferrari red in front of the English who applauded him, and boos for Christian Horner. The Red Bull director was reprimanded in his appearance, perhaps due to the bills that still hang over him from the complaint of improper conduct that a former employee of the team made before the start of the 2024 season. The declaration of innocence that came after the internal investigation seems not to have satisfied the English.

The teams paraded one by one and had seven minutes for their presentation. The choice of how they would display their livery was left to each team. Some, like Ferrari, Mercedes, Williams and McLaren, brought their rich history to the table in videos as a prelude to the entrance of the car with new livery. Others, opted for a light show like Sauber. Aston Martin went for the 007 side and surprised Red Bull. The Austrian team showed a short film that ended with the entrance of Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson on the catwalk. However, there were no words from either of the two drivers. The four-time champion had already shown himself annoyed with the event, no use, the Dutchman does not like these things.

Verstappen was not the only one who was reluctant about the event. Fernando Alonso did not hide his dislike of the idea of the category either, he said that the teams like to “present their cars in something more private” and his face was a constant sign of how dissatisfied he was there.

The lethargy caused by the 2024 Monaco GP left its mark. An accident involving three cars at the start brought out an immediate red flag. What did the teams do? They took advantage of the stoppage to change the tyres on their cars and had already fulfilled the requirement of at least one stop and the obligation to use two different compounds. From there, a train of cars that did not pass each other (something almost impossible in the intricate and narrow urban circuit), with Charles Leclerc dominating at the front with a very slow pace to prevent his tyres from wearing out.
Formula 1 and the FIA took up the gauntlet of boredom that was experienced that day, which not even all the Monegasque glamour could hide, and decided to implement a modification for the 2025 edition of the Monaco competition and put into play a special and particular regulation. Already, the Monegasque event has concessions, because it is the only one that does not reach 300 kilometers of route, as established by the regulations, it is barely 260. La propuesta está realizada y solo falta la aprobación del Comité Consultivo Deportivo, que se reunirá en las próximas semanas. En cuanto a los cambios técnicos, se confirmó que se realizarán pruebas más estrictas a la flexión de los alerones delanteros desde el GP de España y en las alas traseras serán más firmes desde el inicio, previsto para el 16 de marzo en Australia.
