The right to speak or freedom of speech is something people expect in a democratic country but in today's world majority of the countries with democracy are following democracy on paper.
when it comes to following what democracy says there are so many characteristics missing from democracy that should be there in a democratic country.
You can't speak anything against the political party in power as you will probably be sent to jail with false cases if you do so.
You will see people who are a known personality and who speak against the government in power are mentally tortured. There are many examples from my country that supports my statement.
The media is sold out and shows everything that spread hate among different communities. It is really sad that freedom of speech is dead now.
If people protest they are called terrorist and anti-national , though people have right to protest peacefully against any laws government brings in.
Anyways , this issue is rising and is seen in many countries. What about you all how is the media working there ? are they sold out as well or they dare to question person in power without any fear.
