@outofthematrix, as a witness, you should know:
- what is proxy voting on witness
- what is printed stake and where did 45 million BLURT come from on socialgraph and initblurt accounts
- what @blurt.regent is
Anyone who provides correct answers to one or more questions in the comments section will receive an upvote
I will answer the very first question. What is proxy voting ?
If we choose a witness as proxy for ourself then we give a huge power in his or her hands.
Now after setting a witness as your proxy you can no longer vote for any witness ( unless and until you withdraw proxy ).
This does not means that there will be no votes to any witness from your side. In this case you will automatically vote for that witness to whom witness you set proxy votes for.
EXAMPLE :
you set proxy to witness A.
Now when witness A votes witness B , C , D u will also automatically vote for them as you set proxy to them.
That is a little knowledge i know about proxy thing though i am not a witness.
it depends on your BLURT POWER
I agree with you about that. That is why i don't think any use of setting proxy to X,Y,Z witness.
I remember that on other platforms like steemit people demand to be set as proxy in order to recieve upvotes from them.
😂 😎
This was already answered here: Where is the Regent?
This is not an answer, but rather a wild guess 🤔 remember that Hive and Blurt inherited millions and millions of tokens during the hardfork by taking them away from the Steemit accounts. 🤔
Proxy is when you give another account (does not have to be a Witness, it can be any account) permission to vote Witnesses on your behalf. So if you set me @famigliacurione as your Proxy, whoever I vote for with my 30 Witness votes, you will automatically cast the same vote. If I remove a Witness vote, your account will do the same. This is how upvu became so powerful on Steem, not because of the Delegated Steem Power, but rather the Proxy. You see, if you Delegate 1M Blurt Power to my account, that Blurt Power can only be used for upvoting, and not for voting Witnesses.
I would say that socialgraph account balance is printed
https://ecosynthesizer.com/blurt/@socialgraph
Similarly, 22M BLURT on initblurt were not purchased on the crypto exchanges
But you still have to account for the tokens that were taken from the Steemit accounts. I don't think it was printed but rather transferred during the hardfork. Remember that the @steemit account alone, which was set to zero, should have had 29M Blurt Power. And this was only one account out of many.
We really need to make peace with our past and create a unique future, where old arguments, tactics and idealogies used on Steem and/or Hive have no place or usefulness on Blurt. The Leadership on Blurt is not as bad as some would like to have us believe.
I have many questions.
Hi, @mariuszkarowski,
Thank you for your contribution to the Blurt ecosystem.
Your post was picked for curation by @famigliacurione.

Proxy voting is a type of voting in which a member or user of a platform may transfer their voting power to a specific witness in order to cast a vote when they are not present. This means they won't be able to vote for other winners; it's more like giving all of your power to the wintness you've set up as your proxy. This means that whenever the witness you've set as your proxy votes for other wintness, you'll automatically vote for the wintness as well. Please keep in mind that your votes is heavily depends by your Blurt power.
