You have importance. Because you bear God's image, you are significant. You are the model of a beauty born of heaven. Because your heavenly Father is your beloved's eye, you have a wonderful bodily appearance. Because you know Christ's thought, your intellectual capacity is appealing. Because God loves and accepts you, you have a captivating emotional energy. You are important because your Lord and Savior, Jesus, says so.

You are significant. The Lord has selected you, and you are His prized property, which is why you matter. As a coach recruits athletes, Jesus wants you to be a part of His team because He has chosen you for it. The role that most suits your abilities, talents, and experiences is what He calls the plays, and He expects you to shine in it. The Lord of Hosts values you the greatest. You are very important to Jesus Christ, so much so that He gave His life in order to save you.

What does it mean to be the Almighty God's prized possession? He recognizes your immense value, just like the Hope Diamond. He watches out for you, provides for you, prays for you, and holds you up as a shining example of His grace to a broken and wounded world. You do matter, indeed. God owns you, which is why you matter. And He has shown wonderful stewardship in His ownership. He looks after that which He owns. He blesses everything he owns.

In addition, your value grows with time since you are a priceless possession of God. You are a valuable and timeless asset that gains appreciation over time. Your heavenly portfolio is filled with investments in holiness, love, grace, faith, and hope. You have importance. You are valuable because you possess Christ's opulent wealth. In your spiritual journey, God has given you much, so He wants much from you. As a result, you matter by letting others realize they do too.
