Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another wonderful day in your presence. Thank you for joining me in this morning's inspiring word. Let's quickly see what's in today's package 🎁
Have you ever been traveling when all of a sudden you encounter road construction and your GPS forces you to take an unforeseen diversion? You're on a lengthier route, perhaps on back roads, with lots of twists and turns, rather than heading in a beautiful, straight line. Yes, I'm sure we've all experienced that. However, what's the deal? That's a lot of life. Your life suddenly made a drastic left turn and went in a direction you never would have predicted, even if you had assumed it would follow a certain path.
This path we travel through life usually contains a lot of turns and twists. Has there ever been someone you know whose life has gone exactly as planned? The individual who gets to travel from point A to point B and directly to Z is the one in a million. God usually leads you from A to F, then back to D, and finally on to Q.
Unbelievably, diversions might be beneficial even though they frequently seem awful. It doesn't matter what we think of them; they are usually made for our benefit. Most folks enjoy making plans. In order to keep things organized, we plan out our days and lives on our calendars.
We enjoy the efficiency that comes with following a set course and going forward. Although we would never intentionally bring confusion or detours into our lives, it appears that this is how God is leading us. He almost never leads someone straight to their intended path without first putting them on one, two, or 10 detours.
God is usually the one who takes us on a detour while He is building something in our lives. It's true that diversions are not particularly handy. They always push us beyond our comfort zones and out of our way. However, they are essential. God is more concerned with our growth than with our arrival, and our morality than our comfort. Let us keep in mind that God has a plan, even when life takes unexpected turns, as we travel through it. Let's have faith in Him.
