Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful new week.
"Being a Christian is not like adding healthful supplements to your current diet. It's a whole different way of eating. Even though this idea seems straightforward at first, I think it contains a great deal of knowledge. A few carrots added to our meals is beneficial, but it won't significantly improve our health if our diets are mostly made up of processed foods and refined sweets. In the same way, even if Bible studies and prayers are always helpful, they won't bring about the whole physical and spiritual transformation that Christ offers individuals whose lives are based on self-centered goals, conceit, and arrogance.
We have to be prepared to die if we want to survive. The notion that life is found via death is the mystery of God's kingdom. By eliminating the aspects of our lives that deplete us and leave us empty, we make room for the Lord to lavish his gift of presence upon us. Even the deepest darkness is driven away by the light of Christ's love, which cannot coexist with darkness. According to John 10:10, the abundant life that the Lord longs for us to experience is designed to saturate all aspect of our lives.
A significant time of solitude or community group are not the only things that contribute to an abundant "church life" in God's kingdom. No, his abundance is supposed to be a part of all you do! It is your inner existence, known only to yourself, that is transformed by his richness, as well as your social and professional lives. These domains, along with an infinite number of others, are what define "you." Thus, reject the piecemeal and supplemented form of discipleship and accept a life of whole and utter commitment. Everything will come at your expense, but everything will also be gained.
"Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation." - Psalm 149:1-4"
